I've probably gone for around 10. I've applied to almost every university that I applied for (5) entrance scholarships or bursaries, and also a lot of the ones run through companies with challenges.

What the hell have I been accepted for?! Now the requirements have changed! confused Help!

I have applied for so many that I have to keep a drawer with all of my records to remember what I have applied for. Some of the applications get pretty repetitive so alot of the time I just get so bored with doing so many, but if you apply for more you have a greater chance of getting one, in theoryexclamation

I've applied for say...3 so far. By the end of this weekend I'll be able to add 4 more to that list. I intend to apply for others later on, considering school has been pretty crazy lately, I haven't really had the time to apply for as many as I'd have liked to. My theory is, if you don't keep your grades up now, then what'll be the point of applying for an extreme amount of scholarships if your grades take a dive [depending whether you have the time or not, of course; I'm referring to those who don't have much time.] I'm hoping there will be many new scholarships that I'll be able to apply for during the summer. I'll have much more time once school's actually out for the summer. exclamation

I am COMPLETELY in the same situation as you. As in, 100% (having applied to three scholarships so far, not having enough time, focussing on marks, etc.). Though i can't find 4 more that i'd be able to add

I always find myself weighing out the options before I apply for a scholarship. I don't want my grades to drop, but I also don't want to miss out on an opportunity to apply for a scholarship. As it turns out, I have already completed 4 scholarships, none of which I have heard from yet. Sometimes it seems like such a fruitless endeavor - especially when there's so much to do! I honeslty don't know how foundations expect those who are involved in everything to have time to complete these applications.

Before I finished high school in January, I was applying to almost every scholarship that came up. But ever since I have been out of school and working I can never find the time to sit down and finish my applications! Any suggestions on how to balance work and scholarships??

Why would your grades drop because of applying for a scholarship?

the time it takes to write 3 or 4 essays will take away time from studying/writing essays for school perhaps?

I've applied to a heck of a lot but gotten nothing big so far besides the normal ones for marks-based entrance. Otherwise, heard zero from Loran, Wendy's (classmate got one), Millenium, MillerT, Ottawa Chancellor and Western National.

smile good for you... i think the same thing. I think its more nerve racking because essays can be very hard to write and know what the organization is looking for. For me, it is really nerve racking because i am already pretty bad in the English department so knowing how to properly write an essay and include the important point can be very hard for me.

I only applied to one (the one I feel is the most suited for me)... and the rest are just automatic provincial ones solely based on grades.

No point in spending so much time applying to thousands and not getting a single one. :S:S
