extrinsic motivation is more important than you may think.

yo do know that marks will only take you so far. Your marks will only land you the interview, but not the job. I think the most important part of an employee is their personality. Think about this, you can be taught the skills, but not taught a personality. Now think of what is more important.

You need to think long term my friend. Once you graduate you will be looking for a job, getting into university isnt everything.

ya offcourse

when im around smart ppl in class who won't bother talking to me when the teachers lecturing then it helps a lot.

if im with anyone else and start talking to them then we go on foreever and miss everything the teacher does.
but thats only me

I've been hovering around 98% for Grade 10, 11, 12. It sort of balances out my complete lack of extracurriculars and volunteer stuff.

right now I'm getting around 93.5, which is about the same I've gotten in grade 10 and 11 :S..usually I have one course i get 99 in and some other with 87ish, so it balances..this year though, most of my course have been hovering around the 93-95 mark smile
I'm kind of worried about university though, because everyone I've talked to says its a whole "new" way of studying, and I'm wondering how different it really is :S

Grade 10 = Around 65 - 70%.
Grade 11 = 61-ish (first semester) Second semester's looking like a final average of a 60 or so. Physics hates me, so much.frown
Grade 12 = I'm going to aim for an 80 average. I'm taking freakishly easy classes. The closest remotely difficult class I'm taking is Math 12, and that's because I'm pretty rancid at Math.

A little higher than 76.

Funny thing:

Two of my courses keep switching. At midterm, chem was 81%, business was 71%. Last I checked my marks, chem was 71 and business was 84.

But those courses don't really matter to my uni application, it's grade 11 chem and grade 12 OPEN business. Oh I wish they'd accept open classes...

Reeeally need to step it up for my next 7 courses. I'm not stupid, I have a high IQ (not that that means much), but I used to get good grades- then I got lazy. I'm going to aim for 80%- If I can stop being lazy and slacking off, I'm great!

i know, i should win some crazy award at my school for most improved.
22% because in grade 11 i didn't know what school i wanted to go to and i ended up thinking i didn't really care about early acceptances. over the summer i realized instead of ryerson business management, i wanted to go to ivey. i never really reached my potential LOL i still slacked and got that 90 frown
