I do not want to be in debt after University. A bunch of stuff like this could make all the difference.

My reason for doing this is to try and be resourceful in finding ways to pay for tuition. It is so expensive to pay for school, but the really hard part is not being able to work full-time throughout the semester. It is hard to save up that much money to live off of in just 4 months of summer. I didn't know about scholarships when I first started university, but now I am finding that there is really a lot of help available....I just need to be diligent enough to actually apply and have some of that help come my way.
So here is to hoping!!

100$ would help out. every little bit is worth it. i do this becuase it can be hard to support yourself with very little outside help. anything i can get my hands on will benefit my education

Personally, I just find myself too tired at the end of the day after everything that needs to be done is done ton really concentrate on writing an essay. I know I probably could apply myself and egt it done, but come 9 at night it's really tempting to just go on forums or philosophy chats or work on the easy homework. This way I can do the easy thing, the forums and still be working on a scholarship or contest oportunity.

It's pretty awesome that i can voice my opinion, or just talk about random stuff, and have the chance to win 100$.

When it comes down to it, it's true, $100 may not seem like a lot to some people. But to other people it means one university book paid for which is how I'm thinking! I could definitely use $100 for university, I dread the thought of a Student Loan so I'm doing all I can not to get one. And this is really cool how students from all over Canada and maybe the US can talk about different issues and school.

I chose to apply for this scholarship for the same reason as the majority of the others who applied...100$ may not be a whole bunch of money but it's 100$ better than nothing. I am also applying to some time-consuming essay-based scholarships and volunteering-based scholarships, so this one was just a nice simple contrast since all I have to do is write 5 messages in the forums. Plus, talking in forums generally leads to hearing other people's views and ideas about topics that relate to all of us, which can be intellectually stimulating.

University is expensive and most of the other scholarships are asking for requirements like "outstanding volunteer activities". I try and do a lot of volunteering but it feels like I don't quite fit their criteria. So any good scholarship like this one I recommend everyone to try! Every bit helps! cheers

You might as well, it doesn't take any effort at all to make just 5 posts.
