Tim Horton's doesn't require a resume, so if want to add it, don't stress about it too much

I have not met ONE person in my entire life who worked at Tim Horton's that didn't despise it. Try McDonalds if you're looking to do fast food or Starbucks if you want to do coffee.

Starbucks probably won't hire anyone under 18, but that's harder than Timmys. Tim Hortons is probably one of the worst jobs you can have compared to other "fast food" type of restaurants. I work at McDonalds(DON't LAUGH! It's temporary) but it is much better than working at timmy's, I HATE making even ONE coffee, you'll have to make thousands everyday. Everyone who used to work at Timmys quit after a couple of months, try an actual restaurant like mcds, burger king, wendy's etc. They are much easier to work at University of Western Ontario 2014Political Science w/ Ivey AEO Status

The one I worked at had a PS2 in our crew room and I get to watch Friends during my breaks

Quote:I HATE making even ONE coffee Rather make that coffee, then put together that greasy burger. And making coffee isn't that hard with the machine they have.

Cashiers/window don't have to make burgers We make ice cream cones and sundaes~ Making the fries can get a bit greasy though.

McDonald's is a great place to work As for your resume, you can entirely reform your resume to suit Tim Horton's if that's where you're applying. Your proficiency in Microsoft Word has no bearing on how good you'd make coffee or serve customers, so focus on that instead. Carleton University Bachelor of Arts in Law

Like Starlight said, Cashiers don't have to make that stuff. I'm a Cashier there. What machine? It's a coffee thermos, that we pour it out of , the cream and sugar gets messy and takes for ever, that's why I hate it. Tea is even worse, it takes forever and slows down a whole line. I would hate to deal with LONG lines and 4-5 minutes per order at tim hortons. Usually it just takes me 2 minutes to finish an order if it's just a combo. Apply to Wal Mart instead. Tim Horton is stagnant or contracting, and most starbucks places are closing down or dealing with much fewer customers. Wal Mart is on track to maintain its workforce and may even add a few with the economy the way it is.

Most of the Starbucks closures are actually down in the States, not here.
I know that in Calgary, they're opening more Starbucks, not closing them down. There's still a demand for it.

^ Oh true,
I'm just commenting on what I see down her in Ontario, and I've already see 2 Tim Hortons shut down and all the barista's I know say business is really bad because no one wants to pay $4 for coffee any more.

It doesnt matter about anything.. Just apply when they're hiring or low on people, that's the key..
