I know school names doesn't justify how great a university is but let's just slack off a little bit and discuss which school has the best name..? I would say McMaster. The word 'Master' makes it soo nice to hear. LOL McMaster Life Science 2012

I like St. Francis Xavier when you shorten it to St.FX. Mount Allison sounds kind of cool too.

Acadia. It comes up first alphabetically (among schools in Canada), which seriously helps if you are trying to recruit international students who look at an alphabetized list of all schools in Canada! And then what's not to love about a university named after the Acadians that's built on land they were forced off of!
FAQ's: 1. Will I get in? See: electronicinfo.ca for Ontario schools. If you have a couple percent above the marks there and it's not looking at supplementary, the answer is almost certainly yes. 2. Anything else: Google it before asking.

St. Francis Xavier is pretty cool... mainly just because you get the X ring when you graduate from there, but I guess that doesn't make it a cool name. St. FX definitely sounds cool though.

I'm not a huge fan of their academic programs, but Mount Allison has a cool name. It makes me feel like it should be a really tall, foreboding building somewhere in the North....even though it's not. Accepted to: Memorial University of Newfoundland (BA- English Major, Classics Minor) University of Alberta (BA- Psychology Major, Classics Minor) University of Ottawa (BA- Honors Philosophy with Specialization in Ethics and Society) Carleton University (BA- Political Science Major with Specialization in Gender and Politics) Waiting on:McGill University (BA- English)
