And I don't think she washes it... I once had a dream of putting gum in her hair. It would be so awesome!!! Late reply but, isn't that kinda mean... I tease my hair like that at times- mostly at night when I go out, I could really care less what I look like at school, No one to impress- bf goes to another school, anyway. Seems like you have alot to vent about these "plastics" people... I really can't imagine them being a thug group and naming themselves after meangirls.

Backcombed hair looks really trashy. Sometimes if you only do it a little bit it's not so bad, but in general it looks horrible. It actually looks like there is a birds nest in your hair when you do that.

11 - 15 year old trashy girls. I can't decide if they scare me, or spark some incontrollable pet peeve rage When I was 13, life was about simple pleasures - namely spending all my time in my brother's clothing, exploring new places and having insanely nerdy boardgame parties. These days, younger and younger girls are resorting to make-up that make them look like 20 year old pimpstresses, the miniest of the mini skirts/shorts/dresses, post pictures of themselves on myspace or facebook with the least amount of clothing possible, and have no substantial conversation other than "do you have a boyfriend yet?" or "have you lost your V-card already?" You've got your whole life left to worry about the opposite sex! Push those boys aside and have some real fun with your life. I guess it's easy to say "blame the parents" but these days, the truth is, with jobs and careers very few parents actually have the time to monitor the kind of things their kids are being exposed to in their circle of friends and/or middle schools. It's really sad though, these kids need all the guidance they can get. Environmental Studies & Resource Management, Earth Science University of Waterloo '11

My two biggest pet peeves: -giggling girls... don't get me wrong I'm a girl and I get that sometimes its out of your control but I hate it when its for the stupidest things ever... it really makes you seem immature -people crowding in the middle of the hallway... if you're gonna talk with your friends move to your side.. especially when you are at a small school.. its so frustrating!

[quote=seamoraine]" or "have you lost your V-card already?"
Gotta say that's the first time I've ever heard that expression...if in fact, it is what I think it is....
Last night, I lay in bed, looking up at the stars in the sky, and thought to myself, "...Where the heck is the ceiling???"

It probably comes with the fact that we send out subtle hints to people younger than us that being more mature or older somehow makes you more superior. Out of some inferiority complex, they strive to be someone or something they're not. Personally, I wouldn't mind living with the Peter Pan syndrome forever XD we just need to let kids know that being an adult isn't all it's cracked up to be. For so long I was all 'I wish I was 16, I'm going to pretend to be 16, life will be so different then!' Then I turned 16 and everything was the same, so it was 'I wish I was 18, life will be so much different then!' Now I'm past 18 and everything is the so different from when I started wishing, and I'm saying 'I wish I was 8 again.' Kiddies need to slow it down and realize how good they have it. I wouldn't mind going back to a time when the biggest worry on my mind was 'Am I going to get the blonde Ken doll or the brown haired one?' Kids growing up too fast is definitely a pet peeve.

^ which reminds me (out of curiosity ahem), in your preteens, did you guys have special names for all the "adult" words you used to know? I remember my friends and I having special names for bra's and that time of the month andd you probably didn't need to know this.. LOL

Gosh I was such a gullible/oblivious 3rd grader... I was in grade 7 when the aforementioned incident happened, and even then it let out a gasp from me. I once had a second grader tell me he does something quite disgusting and inappropriate to hookers.

Yeah, it's amazing how much young kids swear. My second clinical placement next semester is in an elementary school; this could be interesting.
