Hi everyone, on the application form, it asked for a "hand-written" essay. Does this mean cursive writing, or is regular printing okay? Thankssmile

They mean actual handwriting (not printing).

I know I'm a little too paranoid erm , but my cursive writing is not the best, Eagle1 and others, did you guys apply or know if in the past years they specifically required cursive writing? Thank you so much

I thought handwritten just meant written by hand. For most people, it would be neater to print, and on applications, most people prefer to read printing than handwriting.

The application states:

Under Application Instructions on Page 1:
"Type or print clearly (excludes hand-written presentation)"

and

under Requirements on Page 1:
"Each applicant must complete the enclosed application and forward it with a resume and a hand-written presentation of about 500 words on the following topic..."

so it seems pretty clear they want it hand-written. I wouldn't want to take a chance at being disqualified by printing the essay!

yah they just want the essay only hand written. and everything else u can print off from the computer.. and hand written means just by hand so cursive or normal doesnt matter.

I haven't heard anything yet, but the email they sent said we'd be notified of their decision by the end of June. I was expecting them to email us even if we didn't win it...
