I work and i'm in highschool. I have a job at tim hortons where i work Saturday sunday monday and then a job teaching dance tuesday thursday saturday plus classes wednesday. I have a pretty rough time organizing my scheduel. Is there anyone else who is that busy that could give me some tips on time management! or even that shares my stress when projects are due!

I am also in highschool, my last year, and I have currently two jobs plus the stress of trying to get money organized to fund my education through bursaries and loans. I find it hard to get homework projects done, especially if they're due from Friday to Monday because that's when I work the most. When I get a new assignment I start planning what I'm going to do : ie. topic, length, method of research, etc... to help me organize. I also have learned how long it takes me to do things like research (forever) and write (a few hours) and that's how I schedule it. I also work during my spares and lunches if need be, and I don't hesitate to take a day off for exams.

I'll be doing co-op but not at the same time as my studies. They are spaced apart and should pay for my most of my tuition.

I'm planning to just get a random job while in university. Hopefully university and job will be manageable...

I'm planning to get a job this summer before I go off to university. Then I'll try to get a job on campus. They'll understand your need for flexibility and give you good hours, and the pay isn't bad either from what I heard.

If you don't have a job secured yet, I would take until the mid term to see how your schedule is, with just university responsibilities. It really all depends on the person and their time management skills, but university is much different than high school, and I think it is appropriate that you discover how you adjust. I think most people recommend that you make sure you work no more than 10 hours a week. Most people will tell you that university should be treated like a full time job and to devote 35 - 40 + hours of work to it a week.

Success is not the key to happiness, happiness is the key to success. If you love what you do in life, you will be a success!!
