I think McGill probably has the best reputation and is the most renown university in Canada. Quebec also has the most affordable tuition in the country and Montreal is a great city. BC also has pretty affordable tuition. You'd be paying the most in Toronto for school. Having said that, those are three great schools and each city has a lot to offer (think student life, it matters too!)

Out of the three, McGill has the best reputation, domestically and internationally. If you're planning to live/work out of Canada after your Undergrad, then McGill's a good choice - because more universities abroad have heard of it. Montreal is also a great city to live in - costs of living is dirt cheap and there's always something to do here(i study here!) The quality of education is more or less the same in all three universities, so you really need to ask yourself how you want to live outside your academic life.

I would say UBC as I am from BC and love living here. I think you have to base your decision alot on the program you are applying to. As for my experience with the schools, UBC is very laid back, UofT is in the center of Toronoto and therefore is very busy, and McGill is full of themselves although they are well known, but UBC is too. I say UBC!

I never wanted to go to McGill or U of T so I didn't look into them but I know UBC quite well. I think its a really nice campus, and if your stay in res I've heard great stories. Its a very grad school though so some people find it lacks the community feeling. I personally don't want to go there because I want to go away from home, so I might be a little biased.
