I'm currently in the eleventh grade in Alberta, Canada and I have to submit my grade 12 courses by the beginning of next week. Our school offers the AP program and a dual honors program and I've been taking AP English, Social, French and Biology for two years. However, in grade 12 English and Social Studies are offered as English/Social 30 AP (Which is the diploma course worth five credits) and English/Social 35 AP (Which is the exam preparation course and is worth 3 credits).
So my question is, can I use the AP 35 courses in my top five average as separate courses from my 30 AP's in the same subject at any Canadian University? And if so, which ones?

it's all dependent on the university, and they usually have a specific page talking about AP and IB consideration so it'd be best to check out the one that you are looking to attend.

Thanks for letting me know that (because I didn't know), but I'm unfortunately hopeless at navigating McGill's website. It's like it was meant to both intrigue and confuse me. Would anyone happen to know if that information is actually buried in the McGill website?

here's one page that talks about AP accreditation. Not sure whether it answers your specific question though: http://www.mcgill.ca/student-records/transfercredits/ap/

Oh that's perfect! Thanks so much, now I know that one of my exam preps counts and the other doesn't. Yay!
