I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, GGG. By the way, why not compare the first year courses of an engineering program versus a business program to evaluate their difficulty. I wonder which one that would be more favorable towards.

No you didn't. You can see this by the fact that rather than responding to specific things I say, you continue to simply copy and paste my first posts in this thread. In other words, changing the subject, rather than defending the points you made in earlier discussion.

I've asked three times now whether you agree that theology and fine arts are more difficult than medicine and dentistry because the graduation rate is lower. According to your logic that states that because engineering and business have similar graduation rates, that immediately means their difficulty is comparable.

Then there's the idiotic notion that because the entrance averages are the same, that means they are of similar difficulty. Regardless of the fact that the prerequisite courses are different. Do you think entrance averages to fine arts programs being similar to engineering mean that they are of the same difficulty too?

You're right. Engineers rock. worry

this is even more useless than thoes " Ivey vs Queen's Commerce" threads.

actually why don't you change that to

"It's going to be harder for me to grduate with an engineering degree than commerce because I suck at math and physics."

And the apparent differences in class average???
And the obvious difference in courseload/# of credits???

Explain those please.

because most people suck at math/physics?, and think 85 in HS physics is the same as 85 in university physics?

So you agree that math/physics is harder than management.

Yup, just like writing a hit rap song is harder than acting in a blockbuster film.

Woah, really!? Wow, your internet anecdote really proves your point, congratulations!

You know, the truth is I don't even care that much about proving (the almost universally-held knowledge) that on average, engineering programs are more demanding than business programs.

I just think it's funny how people love to be critical and "rational" when it comes to subjects that serve to make them feel good about themselves by putting others down, but the second anyone mentions a topic that is indirectly, negatively related to them in any way, it's all about being defensive and emotional.

As for the two recent topics: Yes, math/physics is more difficult than management, which would explain this table here.

For the second topic, yes, rap is bad "music". No, it isn't racist to point out the obvious. I think heavy metal and punk music sucks too.

I couldn't agree more. Stringer, for example, is the king of bashing other people while being calm and logical, but as soon as you threaten his degree he let it get personal and it changed the way he argued his point.

The hell do I care about my degree? You think I have any vested interest in business? I'm an entrepreneur, I have no interest in pursuing a career in business. Therefore, my degree is worthless to me.

You really can't make (accurate) blanket statements about whole genres based on mainstream music. It makes you sound silly.

In any case, some people are good at business, other people are good at engineering. Maybe less people happen to have strength in physics/engineering, but that doesn't mean those engineers would succeed in business.

I don't really want to get in the middle of all of this, but just to be a nitpicker...

1) I don't think the IQ of a person in a field necessarily equates to a higher/lower difficulty of the field. What's to say that the particular field requires the person(s) to maximize their potential? A crude example would be Newton as a janitor. It doesn't make him any less intelligent, but it certainly doesn't make janitorial work more difficult.

2) So you think it's "obvious" that the only people who like rap music are members of the poor population (basically alluding to african-americans)? Not only is this NOT "obvious" (the biggest market for rap music is suburban white kids), it is in fact racist. (or discriminatory at the least)
