I'm not sure exactly when I'm done, but my program doesn't have exams...so I finish a week earlier then everyone else! yaaaaay! Man I wish I had no exams. But four courses and three final exams beat the five courses and five final courses last April.

^ Don't remind me. I've got six courses this semester, but fortunately I only have two true finals (one of which is huge: full-year cumulative) and three small finals (thank you upper-year psych courses and their three non-cumulative "quizzes"!), so I guess I am better off than both my previous years when I had five big exams.
One thing I am not really looking forward to this summer is being in London. Although a lot of my friends are also sticking around, which will be awesome, I don't think I'll be able to handle being less than a five minute walk from a beach.

London, England, or London,ON? Cuz LOndon England would be cool with the double decker buses and the accents, lol. Do you live near a beach right now? I know I'll definitely have to work this summer, but I definitely wanna spend at least a week at my cottage, the beach, the sand..the sun...hmmmm lol

ready.for.summer wrote:jelllybean17 wrote:ready.for.summer wrote:wow thats exciting. are you in college/university or highschool? In college/uni you get a super long summer, its like 4 months haha yeah, I'm pretty excited.. 100-something days to go! My last vacation I went to Europe to visit family, summer before last, and broke my leg in half (both bones).. that summer I learned I do not know how to skateboard!! lol But it was still fun! So we'll see what adventure I have this time around. Last year of highschool.. uni bound next year. I know, I'm so excited about the super long summers! lol ewwww ouch, sounds painful. How did you hurt yourself so much just skateboarding? I've only ever broken my wrist (well one bone and one splinter/fracture) while snowboarding, I was getting off the chair lift on the little kid hill. How stupid is that though, to have a chair lift on the little kidd hill?!) Anyways, that sucks, that means you couldnt go swimming. Well wahtever adventure you have this summer try not to break anything, lol. haha how is what I'd like to know. I was going down the street (well more of a mini hill, I don't think straight roads exist there!).. and lost my balance, it started going kinda faster than I thought.. and toppled over. I thought I had just twisted my ankle or sprained it.. or something like that. But then when I saw my leg bent and wobbly.. knew that wasn't it! I was pretty excited though about getting a cast.. but I didn't get one, it was too broken. lol oh well!

I live in London (Ontario) right now, but my parents live in Sarnia... like a five minute walk from Lake Huron. During the summer, though, I am used to living at my parents' cottage, which is right on the beach, up near Tobermory. This summer, I will be working in London because I found a job that a) I enjoy and b) pays well ($13.40 vs. $8.25 at my last job, which was also only a "true summer" job - as in, I worked May 2-4 only and then July, August). I'm hoping I'll be able to get up to the cottage most weekends, though.

Well although this summer will be filled with endless days and nights working we should all be sure to make some sweet memories of the summer before we grow up! Last summer was one of the best experiences I've ever had, I was involved in a program called Ontario Rangers with the Ministry of Natural Resources. Best job I've EVER had! Ask any Ranger and they'll say the exact same thing. It's so hard to explain how awesome it was, but oh man it was! Too bad it's only for 17 year olds. Sorry guys, but you missed out! Although you can be a supervisor at a camp, which is also fun! Anyways summer is always a good thing

Or you could always get a pool...but its not the same at all. Oh yeah, my cottage is right near the beach too, I love it. Tobermory, sounds like the chocolate bar, lol. ha ha, well thats good that you a) enjoy it and b) it pays well, lol. Whats the job? Oh yeah thats an awesome wage. oh man me too, i dont spend even half the time at my cottage that i want, and sadly probably less this summer because life is expensive, and my money tree isnt growing, lol, so i havta work, lol. even with work im still excited for the summer. YAAYYY for summer! lol
