OMG I SECOND THAT!!!

........seeing as how I'm the vp of my school's. haha

hehehe yeah I find them to be so quirky and overall they are extremely friendly and accepting. They keep me young.

yeeeah!!!!! I have ALOT of friends that are in grades 9-11, most of them i met in the club. They're all SO nice. And then, our club also got together with another school's club (like...randomly. no one knew each other. They just sent us an email and we decided to meet with our clubs)...and i swear, things got so crazy in that restaurant lol. haha GOOD times xD

we also designed our own anime club t-shirts. to show our pride. ^___^

Maybe it's elitist of me, but I tend to shy away from hugely popular animes.

My favourite anime to date has to be Mononoke, gorgeous art and some of the most disconcerting stories I've ever seen.

Good manga include:

Monster: Brain surgeon goes vigilante after saving a sociopath. Communism, arsony, crossdressing. JOHAAANNNNN.

Tomie: The girl never dies. Disgusting, horrific. Misogynistic kind of. So awful it's good.

Kekkaishi is a really great anime to watch. I've been able to watch official dvds for it and it pales in comparison to the online fansubbing community. So if you're going to look into it, look for the online fansubbing video's, the quality of the video and subbing is fantastic!

GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES. its about WWII and how a brother and a sister tried to survive after the atomic bombs. DEFINITELY a tear-jerker. i cry everytime i watch it....pretty educational too.

haha that sounds like fun. our anime club watches animes and has a bake sales everyonce in a while for charity. that idea is pretty cool (meeting up with other anime clubs).. haha ya lots of crazy! I like that our anime club is also just a social group also, and anyone can join and be our friends!

frown our anime club is looked down upon by most of the school, they don't announce meetings on anouncements cuz people make fun of it and during the meetings they yell stuff as they pass by.

wow...are you serious??! thats really cruel. frown what kind of a school is this??? the ppl in it seems pretty close-minded. Although, I do admit that some anime fans can get pretty crazy...i mean, if they decide to cosplay or something on a normal school day then yeah i can see why ppl make fun of them?
haha the ppl in ur anime club must truly be erm, individuals, to not care and join regardless. smile

Man, I remember that movie. I hit emotional climax pretty early though-- when Setsuko begins crying because they sold their mother's kimono, I cried and couldn't stop. Everything afterward left me feeling...not sad exactly, but indignant. If it weren't for the brother's pride, they wouldn't have moved out of the aunt's house, and Setsuko wouldn't have died. Everything was so pointless, really. That's the saddest part.

I remember Miyazaki saying he was surprised that people sympathized with the boy, too. Baw.

I love Fruits Basket but what about Hana Yori Dango? I love the live action series, Domyoji is perfectly psychotic.

I really like gundam seed. Kinda like a soap opera but amazingly addictive! Full metal alchemist is also fairly good. Also enjoy:
Death Note
Full Metal Panic
DN angel
Personally, I read more manga than I watch anime. My favorites include:
Hana Kimi
Girl Got Game
Friuts Basket
Cresent Moon
Dragon Voice
Skip Beat
There are tons of others too, but I would recommend any of the above to those interested in reading manga.

If you enjoy animes that make you think there's one called "Laine", very confusing, but I'm addicted to it. The art's unique and the storyline is very complex, I'm actually probably going to end up dressing up as Laine for Anime North.

Favorite Anime:
Laine and the original Japanese Sailor Moon (The dub murdered it. They messed up)

Favorite Mangas: Vampire Night, Tsubasa, and After School Nightmare

It's Serial Experiments Lain btw. Unless Laine is a totally different anime. o_O

Woo. Fave ones right now are pretty much the big ones that keep going on: Naruto, Bleach, D.Gray-Man

Oh and Clannad is pretty good too... I love most animes released by Kyoto Animation... beautiful art and glorious plot all together. big grin

!!! Don't forget Digimon.

Just a few months ago I watched the whole first season over again. Brought back so many memories big grin

Then I saw the first 2 episodes of season2 and realized why I stopped watching.

I had some awesome Digimon cards.

Pokemon still counts!
Digimon -just the first season was good.

Anyways, my favorite manga/anime series are

-Gundam Seed
-Death Note
-.Hack
-Witchhunter Robin
-FMA
-Samurai 7
-Final Destiny
-Naruto
-Bleach

Movies:
-Metropolis

For the crazy Animes go to Evangelion or Rahxephon, they're pretty out there.
