Here's what I recomend:
Hentei (perverted): Mahoromatic Ranma 1/2
Romantic: DN Angel Fruits Basket (not mainly romance but still very good) Mahou Sensei Negima (V1)
Sports: Whistle (soccer) Eyeshield 21 (football)
Mononoke (spirits and the like): Shonen Omnojia (SP)? translates roughly to Ghost Spirit Boy (which doesn't make to much sense) Shaman King
Adventure: Naruto
Spouf/comedy: Negima!? (V2) Pani Poni Dash
Want me to recomend so more stuff to watch? Then just say so.

Honey & Clover. It's about a group of five students who attend an art college, and there are so many themes. Definitely for anyone here I'm sure.

Sounds a bit like UNDERgrads except that its about 4 friends going to different colleges in the same city. YORK; Honors Arts - History Major/German minor? '12

I would like this time to point out DeathNote seeing as how nobody else has and it's a really good manga and anime. Bleach, as somebody else recommended, is also an awesome series -- one of my favorites in fact. Full Metal Alchemist is also a good series that has a good storyline, action sequences and good comedic routines. I can't really think of anything else, at the moment.
