That Dragon software is so cool!!
MDoucett: Mountain Equipment Co-Op has fantastic backpacks. My sister's going into third year and it doesn't have a rip or tear or anything. I'd suggest MEC, like Kaylya.

I need to buy a new geometry set and 100-pack of coloured pencils. I should probably replenish my construction paper supply as well.

I got a really nice backpack for free from my uni for winning a scholarship. It died at the end of the year.
I was just at MEC today. Too bad I already bought a backpack. If it breaks I'll know where to go!

I'd probably have to order it online. My best bet is to just check their website for the answer to this, but do you know if they make bags with laptop compartments? desiderantes meliorem patriam

Um, I pretty much just got a large binder to keep notes in, lots of printer paper, black and red pens. Oh, and ink for the printer.

Messenger bags are bad news for my back. When I pack my food, my books, any workout stuff I need and my lap top, a back pack saves my life.

I usually fit everything in mine, though occasionally I might bring my gym stuff in another bag. If it's really heavy, I tend to make other people carry it for me. <.<

I agree, MEC are amazingly durable. All my bags have broken after a year, started tearing in the middle of the year. My MEC bag has stood strong for 4 years, I take absolutely no care of it and people still think I'm keeping the bag in good condition because it has no rips, nothing. If I wash it, it'll be like I just bought it. It IS a bit heavy though. Yep, they definitely do. I can't remember how they have them grouped but they have a category called "Lifestyle" or something like that to distinguish them from their camping packs.
FAQ's: 1. Will I get in? See: electronicinfo.ca for Ontario schools. If you have a couple percent above the marks there and it's not looking at supplementary, the answer is almost certainly yes. 2. Anything else: Google it before asking.

What about Dakine backpacks? They look really nice and i think some styles also have the laptop sleeve built in.

They do indeed look nice (I like the gallery pattern for the girls bags) and I love that the laptop sleeve is built in... if I used backpacks, this would be a dream. UWO 2012
