If I'm stressed my boyfriend will usually take me for a drive out in the country late at night. It's really relaxing and you get to talk and just think about nothing!

I never really stressed till this year, which was my first year in university...i never felt so much pressure and stress before from school, and financially. I literally broke down especially since most of my friends went to different universities in different locations so it was hard to find someone to talk to. So i just and went talked to my older sister, and it was really a big help because she went through the same things in school, so it was good to get advice from her. So yes, talk to someone you know that has gone through the same things you're going through.

I like to bike away stress, go to the gym when it's too cold to bike outside, get away for a while if possible (like go out with friends), sleep, write about it in my journal, make a plan of action and follow it so I'm not all over the place and drink milk. Seriously, drinking milk with a bit of vanilla calms me down and helps me. Finally, if I can get myself to actually talk to someone about the stress, I will talk about it and find advice.

lol! it's unfortunate because I'm so gullible I can't even fish out any of that stuff =P This isn't exactly a stress-reliever, but I find that training your mind to focus on the present helps a lot. The real reason stress builds up is because we're so preoccupied with the future and the whatifs. Let yourself know it's okay to let go and to make the most of what you have. Very true.

crying helps get rid of stress, as does ranting. writing and such. Generally I try to get rid of my stress but it always seems to build until i hit a melting point and have a breakdown. My grade 10 year two of my best friends were having major breakdowns, they were going on for like two months and half of the time they were crying (they did have good reasons) and about a month into their breakdowns I gave up and had one of my own. I still feel really bad for our other best friend she dealt with all three of us. I think i'm on the verge of one of my break downs (key sign i feel like crying most of the time even though half the time I have no specific reason to cry) a guy on my bus recommended teddy bear therapy to me yesterday.

I totally know what you mean about breakdowns. When I get super stressed I tend to get to this point where I just cry and freak out. Which probably doesn't help at all considering I'm wasting precious time crying. haha
