lol! it's unfortunate because I'm so gullible I can't even fish out any of that stuff =P This isn't exactly a stress-reliever, but I find that training your mind to focus on the present helps a lot. The real reason stress builds up is because we're so preoccupied with the future and the whatifs. Let yourself know it's okay to let go and to make the most of what you have. this may sound messed, but I play shooter video games. It's a good escape from reality. It's (I was going to say non-violent, but I guess it is technically), allows you to get it out without hurting anyone lol.
I also read a lot. Listen to my iPod in seclusion. Anything I can do to escape from everyone else and think.

(opposed to the stereotypically 'tranquil' music you're told to listen to if under immense stress) I'm thinking along the lines of Led Zeppelin, or Nirvana's "Scentless Apprentice"... anyyything that echoes a lot of drums and intense singing. I'm not sure Led Zeppelin qualifies as ragetastic. They are gentle and kinda hippy. Although a precursor to some metal you can do much better. I relieve stress in the way most students do. Partying.

Yeah I wouldn't classify Led Zeppelin as as "ragetastic", now Rage Against the Machine, maybe.

Perhaps not rage-tastic, but definetly intense. Gah maybe I've been listening to Immigrant Song far too much.

I mean i know it's all relative to the music you listen to but i've come across possibly one of the most intense songs ever. It's called "He who shall not bleed" by Dimension Zero and yeah.. it's ridiculous. I couldn't even tell you what genre that belongs in.

How would I go about getting this song, it sounds pretty intense.

I'm not trying to put down anyone who likes it, just saying that it's not my cup of tea. I've gone through the screamo/hardcore phase before, but only because that was the only kind of music that my friends listened to. A perfect example of peer pressure. Screamo always has melodic singing in it and is just generally more whiny. That song would fall under like.. melodic hardcore or something similar. I'm surprised to hear all your friends listened to "screamo". Thats a pretty rare thing. The average person certainly doesn't enjoy it so finding a whole group of friends liking it is.. impressive.

Yeah, I realized how weird it was when I moved to Oakville. I used to live down in Welland (nicknamed Rose City) where more than half the kids were "punk/emo/scene" kids and the other portion was "abercrombie" kids. Naturally, I aligned myself with the "punk" kids, which led to my screamo/punk music phase. We used to go down to the Lion's Club or Rose City Hall every friday/saturday night and listen to crappy screamo/punk bands. A couple of them actually made it sort of big... In These Walls, Murder Thy Maker, Ceremonial Snips, The Flatliners, Attack In Black (they changed their style since then), etc. I remember reading somewhere that the hardcore scene in Welland (commonly referred to as Rose City Hardcore, or RCHC - which someone spray painted on the top of the bridge on the canal) was one of the best in Canada. I go to watch the night sky, to look at the stars and planes going by. I usually do this on my back in my backyard. When I lived in an apartment, I would just take a chair next to the windows. I don't do this often, but I like to walk in the rain, without an umbrella. It looks ridiculous, but after a while I feel at peace. MATH, I CHOOSE YOU!!!I'm at Waterloo, doing Computer Science
