Hey, so this would be the place to share your way of relieving your stress. marks, boys, family, friends, etc, anything.

I personally like making a random post to complain about stuff on the internet (no names of course), or talking it out, but when it's just soooo messed up, what do you do?

My good friend and I are both going thru messed up relationships, so we both sat in the timmy's parking lot ranting about guys, and screamed "screw boys!" in the park an hour ago.

I take my mom's really expensive bubble bath (because screw that, I'm not buying it with my own hard-earned money), make the water really hot, and sit there listening to Coldplay for a long time.

I scream into pillows. Or I just scream if I have no access to pillows.

I clean my room... because after its clean I tend to be able to concentrate on say homework, for example, MUCH better than if it were a mess.

I write, read an old favourite, or listen to music.

I watch some good satirical tv. Stephen Colbert does wonders... and laughter is the best medicine.

Haha. I find a good cry is the best stress reliever ever. Just watch a sad movie and you're good to go.

Playing some kind of sport.
It’s a good way to lose energy that you would otherwise invest into being stressed or overwhelmed – plus it releases happy hormones!
I find that having a weekly or daily sport that you can play with a friend makes you healthier, happier and on the go constantly.

Taking a good half an hour at the end of a busy day to just unwind and relax yourself.
Like electricpearls pointed out, a hot water bath, a cup of hot chocolate while reading your favourite book curled up next to the heater, dancing to music etc. can really help. So don’t be afraid to pamper yourself on days when you really need it.

Talking to someone!
Preferably someone you're close to. Don't keep tension and frustration all to yourself, sometimes its better to let it out through simple words than crude actions.

Of course, the best way to get out of the "cycle of stress" is to do something about your motivation or productivity habits that are dragging you down. If you're getting stressed about the amount of work you have to submit next week, don't think about it - start it *now*. Take action for everything and anything if it can improve how you're feeling/viewing the situation at hand.

Ah yes. I play rugby so there's really nothing like hitting someone to relieve stress! Ha ha

I like blasting music (most recently, the FutureSex/LoveSounds album) and cleaning my room.
It makes me feel way better. Like my mind is all organized and peaceful.
smile

Also, watching old favourite movies... that are cheesy and predictable but feel-good all the same.
(The Devil Wears Prada, A Cinderella Story, Hairspray, High School Musical, Camp Rock...)
Or just the disney channel in general. Haha. big grin

If you have a pool, swimming would be amazing. Just relax, bring a book and a floaty thing if that's your style.

Walking is fun too. Put on sunglasses so you don't have to be social, lol. And plug into your Mp3 player/iPod if you like.

Bubble baths cure stress, also. big grin

If that doesn't cut it... get a punching bag. razz

But really the only thing I believe is a great stress reliever is having friends and talking to your personal best friends. When you explain your problem they will always have a different perspective as to how to solve it something you did not come up with.

Sports too I guess! I am on a soccer team but thats like twice a week but regardless I guess it is a stress reliever.

If you don't have friends (its ok) then it is a good investment to purchase a game console and get a fighting style game or fps type of game. I do that if I am very stressed out and release my anger by killing stuff in games. After 5 minutes or so I feel loads better and hey nothing got physically hurt!

Also for music try to listen to some trance, techno or hell classic! For trance I would recommend you to listen some pieces of Robert Miles and Paul Van Dyk and for techno anything from DJ Tiesto!

I won 4 tickets of dj tiesto for like 7 bucks at ebay but unfortunately i was in germany at the time and not canada vancouver frown. Thought I should point that out...

i cant remember the last time i was stressed. i guess it would be at my bar-mitzvah like 5 years ago.

i just think about it logically and get through it.

this lack of stress may change in uni.

to take my mind off "problems", sports (especially soccer) helps and diving into a good book usually does the trick

Soccer is just awesome for stress, and it's great exercise. Eating is always fun too...mmmm....ribs....

letting it out is actually good therapy. some of the things i'd do is get into the tub with some bath salts and soak away the stress. it also makes your skin healthier.

Where to find bath salts and dead sea salts?
