not sure if this is in the right area but whatever... its all good My question is if i do not apply for OSAP for my first year can i still get it for my second year? Or is it something that your only given if you apply for your first year and then you get it every year? This is because i did not apply for OSAP for my first year however I may want it for my second year.

Yes, you can apply for it at any course throughout your studies. Most of the OSAP questions are in the "Money, that's what I want!" thread, so check out there for any other questions Carleton University Class of 2012, Honours Bachelor of Arts

You can get the loan, but the QEII scholarship is only for those who apply out of high school, and it's possible there's some other stuff that might work like that.

There are lifetime limits though: Quote:You are eligible to receive a Canada-Ontario Integrated Student Loan for up to a maximum lifetime limit of 340 weeks of postsecondary study. The lifetime loan limit may be extended an additional 60 weeks to a maximum of 400 weeks for full-time students enrolled in doctoral programs.

Not taking the loan in first year but taking it in 2nd year counts less towards the lifetime limit than taking it in first and second. For reference, I think they calculate 34 weeks as your typical 2 term university program, so that's 10 years, which most people won't run up against (although even with extensions if you've got loans for undergrad through to PhD lots of people might start to run up against it).
