I'm trying it, we've been together for a year, and I think it has a good shot of working out in uni. We won't live together, at least for now, because that's a bit too tight, but being in the same uni will be nice since long distance relationships seem deadly, and I don't wanna just throw this one away.
As long as you make school your focus, you should be okay.

I started dating my boyfriend at the very end of grade 12. He's 2 years older than me so when I entered my first year he entered his third year. We went to the same university so we got to see each other on campus a lot. It was also helpful because he knew his way around. I was very busy most of the time though because I'm in engineering and I play varsity rugby. It worked out, we're still together doing well. It all depends on what kind of relationship you have really.

I'm going to be moving into an apartment with my girlfriend for university. I'll be going to university and she'll be going to college, so I figure it'll be a great way to help one another out with the costs and expenses of living in an apartment. If we weren't able to live together, I wouldn't go to university where we'd have to move. I'd say in an area where I could see her on a daily basis.

I don't see what the huge deal is about that. Yeah it might suck but you can't go through a relationship not doing things because "what if we break up"

Why do you think people sign prenups, and that's for marriage. Being stuck in a living situation together is just asking for trouble.

So you're basically saying that couples shouldn't live together. That's ridiculous. Obviously there are some risks that come with further levels of committment in relationships, as there are risks in all other aspects of your life.

The relationship is past the new boyfriend-girlfriend delusions that everything will always be perfect because we're just perfect. We're far enough into the relationship that moving in together is a decision we're both comfortable with.

Three weeks tomorrow   Kidding  If it were that long I'd definitely see the cause for concern. We've been together for two years and just under three months.

Exactly why I'm comfortable with moving in together. It's still taking it slow, considering several girls on Maury Povich would have already had six kids and eight baby daddys by now

No, I'm saying that they shouldn't get tied into a situation where financially one of them can't move out if they break up. Seriously, what would you do if in the first month of a 12-month lease you had an ugly break up with your significant other? Live there with them for 11 months or pay for another apartment? Both are terrible options.
