The average I had when I got my acceptance to U of TSG was 85%. If my final average stays above 80% am I still be safe from them taking the offer back? I heard somewhere that a 10% drop is when they take your admission away. Is that true or just a rumor?

Also what if I drop more in some courses than others. So say I don't drop at all in one course but I drop 10% in another. Do these things cancel each other out and end up being the same as if I dropped 5% in each?

Finally if my acceptance to U of TSG is withdrawn, can I go back and accept an admission offer from say U of TSC where I am still within the conditional offer range?

Thanks for your help.

If you drop less than 5% I think you should be ok, although a 10% drop in a prerequisite course wouldn't help.

With regards to the UTSC offer, it depends on whether or not they still have space in the program. OUAC's admission referral service is now up to help you find programs with spaces available; I know UTSC has some. If the program for which you had a previous offer is listed there, they'd probably take you, if not, it might still be worth calling them but it's less likely.

Remember that it often takes just as long to do a search or two on Google to try and find the answer to your question as it takes to type it in a post here, let alone the time waiting for a reply.
If your question is "What mark does it take to get into University X", or "What are the requirements to get into University X", it's on their website and/or electronicinfo.ca (for Ontario schools). Particularly for Ontario schools, those ranges are a pretty good picture of what kind of mark will get you into the program, and if you're more than a couple percent higher it's practically guaranteed unless it requires a supplementary form.

So what would be the latest that I can change my acceptance? The U of T conditional offer thing said that they will review applications in August... so if they do take back admissions it would be around then. Am I still able to switch to SC at that point?

One more thing... Is SG more demanding than SC? Because the course that I got in at SG is the same one that I also got in at SC... so if I am ok for the SC one would I still be ok for the SG one...?

SG is definitely more demanding than SC. if it's the same program i'd go for utsc, its friendlier and smaller. but if you really want to go for the university feel, big classes and ginormous campus, then go for downtown and do SUPER well on your exams to bring up your marks!

So when they take back acceptance do they look more at averages, or each individual mark?
