Hey, I recently got my offer to the res as an engineering student. I was wondering if they provide a tv/cable service for your own personal room or is it available to purchase? I've read through the whole .pdf and had no mention about television...

yeah you can get it for your room from rogers but I don't see the point.. all the common rooms have tv + cable anyways and its a great way for you to meet and interact with the people on your floor!

ahaha that's very true...i'm pretty excited for the whole res thing...bijan do you know what the food is like there? And should I go for the meal plan that is unlimited meals but no flex dollars OR the ones with 10-15 meals/wk and 200-400 flex dollars?!

depends on how much you eat but I'd say go for the one with the most flex dollars.. most people don't like coming back to new to eat lunch (I think it's the plan thats like 330 meals for the year or something). Most people who got the 15 meals /wk found that half the time they only had 8 meals and wasted a lot of their money.. the 330 works really well IMO as long as your not one of those people that just eats all the time

the food was okay for the first month or so and hten I just got tired of it and at the end I perosnally really really didn't like it (although they try to change things up to make it good). However a lot of people loved the food and said it was much better than what they're used to at home so I guess it just depends on how well your parents feed you colors
