Which one's the best meal plan, 15 plan, 330 plan or the Carte Blanche?

Chesnut is one of Innis College's residences at the UofT. From what I hear it's very nice.
Sorry I have no meal plan info frown

i heard that if you get the carte blanche you have to walk back to the residence for lunch instead of eating at new college...is this true?

Probably a late reply but oh well...

With the 15 plan you get 15 meals a week. The meals are not transferable and you can eat only once per "meal period" (they have breakfast, lunch, dinner, late dinner). This it the plan I had and it was alright except for the fact that I didn't get to eat breakfast. I didn't have to worry about running out of meals though.

With the 330 plan you get 330 meals for the entire year. You can only eat once per meal period, but you are not restricted as to when you eat (you can eat 4 times a day one week and then once a day the next). A friend of mine had this plan and he ran out of meals pretty quick (not a commuter or anything, he stayed at the res the whole year). I wouldn't recommend this plan unless you eat at home often. You get more flex dollars though but you can only buy overpriced snacks or extra meals with them (additional meals are $9-11 each).

The Carte Blanche plan allows you to eat as much as you want whenever you want at Chestnut. It is more expensive however, and you get no flex dollars. You also cannot eat at New College but it's not a big loss because the food there is horrible (mostly greasy fast food and a limited selection of other hot meals). Also, you can get bagged lunches from Chestnut (sandwich, pop, cookies, and other stuff), so I wouldn't worry about the the fact that you can't eat at New College.

If I did it again, I would take the Carte Blanche plan. It would be nice to be able to go down anytime I want to eat, plus I would also get breakfast. You can just go down and grab some cookies and fill up a juice bottle if you want (you're not supposed to take more than one thing out of the cafeteria at a time, but you can just stuff your pockets).

I personally had 330 and it worked out absolutely perfectly for me. I finished my meals a couple days before I was out and had like $150 of flex dollars left so I just went out on a crazy shopping spree and bought so much junk food that lasted me all summer haha

it all depends on how much you eat.. Carte Blanche I think would be suited more towards people who like to eat more than 3 meals a day and have large meals (which means you probably wouldn't eat out)

I don't know anyone who actually agreed that the 15 meal plan was any good so I won't really comment on it as for most people it didn't work out
