Agreed. But seriously, nobody here is out to make anybody feel bad about their university choice, so don't be so sensitive. I applied to York as well; proof that I'm not anti-York.

I guess the point is that these probably aren't the same people. Anyway, York is good for ethic studies (they have neil bissondath) and creative writing [they have micheal ondajtee (sp?) and nino ricci on staff]

Micheal Ondajtee? His style doesn't click too well for me. But maybe I can sneak to York and sit in to one of his lectures... That would be pretty cool. Any other well-known authors that are university staffed in Canada?

George Elliott Clarke at U of T is the only other one that I know... after that it really depends what you call writing.. stephen leacock at McGill sort of qualifies although he doesn't teach it.

Actually even ondaajte (sp?) has a cross appointment with NYU so I'm not sure how much he teaches here.
