If we register for classes now, in case we change our minds, we can still modify our choices online right? I'm planning to register today or tomorrow to snag all my classes but I'm scared that I'll find out I'm missing some prerequisite and have to change it but can't.

You should be able to change your course registration all the way up to a week or two into classes. That's how all universities I know of work, anyways.

This should tell you when the last day to register online is, and the final day to add/drop classes.

Thanks for the link =) I see that last day for online registration is Aug 9, however there is always paper registration after that right?

I'm wondering if anybody knows if I enter the Honors BMOS program which starts 2nd year, can I transfer again into Ivey HBA in 3rd year? Hon. BMOS is my backup but I'm not going to do it if it restricts my entry into Ivey.

Alright, now I'm in big doo-doo (HAHAH wow who says that anymore?). I registered for Visual Arts Studio 1020, which has a tutorial only once a month... but the time the tutorial goes on, I have a class second semester! AAAAAAAH.... These are both classes that are my top choices and with only one time option so I feel really sad. Is there some way to work around this, call UWO and get them to allow it? I mean, tutorials aren't mandatory anyways right....

And digital9000, whether you take Business 1220 or Economics is really more up to what you're interested in... Economics is much more theoretical than practical concepts. Read course descriptions =)

Calculus 1100 is for students with no previous experience with calculus and 1000 is for experienced. Comp Sci 1026 is also for the inexperienced. If you choose the tutorial + lectures, you are required to register in them but of course you don't have to show up...

Sheesh, doesn't anybody read the course descriptions anymore?

If the course says you need a tutorial or lab, you need a tutorial or lab. The difference between Comp. Sci 1025, and 1026 is experience level (1026 = no experience required). As for are they any use, umm, all the courses offered serve a purpose or else they wouldn't be offered. In my case Comp. Sci 1026 and 1033 is going to fulfill my Category C breadth requirement so I can get that grad requirement out of the way in year one.

I too am killing several birds with one stone (or trying). Pretty much have all the grad requirements I can have in first year, as well as prerequisite for Ivey, prerequisites for backup to BMOS Hons, and prerequisites for minor in Visual Arts. And two fun courses! =D

Anybody can answer my class conflict question a couple of posts above?

Also, I asked this in some other thread before but, if I get into BMOS Hons which starts 2nd year, can I still apply and get into Ivey HBA for 3rd year?

i did read descriptions, So the exams in the no experience req course are much easier than the experience one? or are they the same but just the extra tutorials help students catch up?

there is no pre-req for Ivey in 1st year. that course comes second year.

also, I've heard some people on this forum talk abotu taking calc 1501 or 1301 second semester....if i take calc 1000A 1st semester isnt it logical to take calc 1000B second semester??? or am i confused on this one???

Calculus 1000A/B (calculus 1) are the same course. so if you take it in first semester you generally move to Calculus 2 in the next term or some other calculus course that it's a antirequisite for.

so for all the A/B courses, you only sign up for A or B, not both....

That sounds fun, the same class twice! Are you planning to take 1501 or 1301? I actually decided to do Math 1228 instead of further calc in sem 2. (i think the number is right....)
