Okay, so I'm totally ignorant here.

To res rooms have cable, do pepole have tv's in their rooms? etc.

Some you can, some you can get it illegally (splitting common room cable into your room)

Or just go to the common room or download your stuff off DC++/Shakespeer

There's usually a TV with cable in the lounges.

In terms of rooms being hooked up with cable, I know at Acadia they had all the hookups but you had to contact the cable company to get it set up and pay for it through them. But I don't really know anyone who did that - I do know people who had TV's to go with video game consoles.

But that's going to be one of those things that varies by school.
