So has anyone else on these forums been deemed 'not eligible?' for wrong reasons?

It says on mine, that I either a) Said that I didn't attend a high school in 2007 (The whole application only asks about 2008, so I'm thinking this is the issue, and it's with OSAP, not me) b) that my institution is not recognized (I'm going to Laurier, so it obviously is) or b) I've missed the deadline (Which is June 20th, so I'm two weeks away from that)

You guys should check your applications, and get back to me..

hey dude, same here!

Whats up with this???
**You will not be considered for this scholarship because a) you indicated on your OSAP application that you did not attend an Ontario high school in 2007, b) your institution is not eligible, and/or c) you applied after the application deadline date**

there has to be something wrong if three people have already has problems. I'l have a talk with my guidance counselor

Definitely let me know what they say to you! I don't have a guidance counsellor so, I can't go ask. I'm planning to go down to Laurier's financial aid/student awards office Friday afternoon maybe, if the problem persists.

I think they may have screwed up the dating in their computer system.

'You did not attend an Ontario high school in 2007'

All the questions on my osap app asked me if I attended in 2008, so maybe it is still looking for people to say 2007, when it should really be 2008, but it's disqualifying us, because we aren't saying 2007, because it thinks 2007 is the right year?

I'm just really worried.

Are you in the same boat?

I looked all over the OSAP website. After searching, I really don't think they have a number for questions. I have read though, if you have questions you are to contact the financial aid office of the post secondary institution you are attending. But it seems silly to have to call a university, regarding an OSAP technical problem.

"The financial aid office at your institution also plays a vital role in the administration of OSAP because it acts as your direct contact for questions and issues. You should contact your institution’s financial aid office about all OSAP questions and issues while you are in-study."

That's what it says when you click on 'OSAP' under 'contacts'

There is another place you can contact, but it is only for students studying at a post secondary institution outside of Ontario.

When you log into your OSAP application, and click on the blue lettered 'Queen Elizabeth Aiming for the Top' it says nothing?

When did you apply for OSAP?

And I applied on May 19th, although when I press "Check Status" it keeps telling me to check back in June, but I disgress.

Okay mine says that now too! But yesterday , it didn't

I know that the original person who made me aware of this went to the financial aid office today at LAurier and told them about it. Laurier said that they had been getting alot of calls regarding this issue.
