I go to Brock and they are horrible for closing the school is there if there is a snow/ice storm because they are more concerned with getting/making money than about the students safety!! but when they do have a snow day... i preciate it!

I go to U of L and would love a snow day!!! My prof told us one day he has never seen the uni shut down as long as he's been here, so we should never really expect one. I live in rez anyway, so I guess a snow day wouldn't be quite the same anyway!

Around me there is a really small school where some kids are driven but some are bus students. So on snow days the teachers all have to come bc if there happens to be a child who wasnt told there is no school and left by their parents then there is someone there to let them in and keep warm. but i agree its so stuîd when its dangerous to go out in the cold but still have to be worried about missing certain classes

In 'Peg City, even if it's -50 outside, we still have to go to school. I have never, ever had a snow day!
Waiting on the world to change. ♥

Personally, I hate it how buses get cancelled yet walkers still have to come to school. If anything, cancel the walkers first: they're the ones who are walking through thick snow, blizzards, and risk being hit in traffic due to the weather. Buses, on the other hand, are much more protected.

Snow days are basically the love of my life We need to have more of them... the thing i hate is that i have to take a bus an hour or so ahead of time before i get to school and most of my profs wont cancel until the last minute and i never find out my class is cancelled until i get there

Buses, on the other hand, are much more protected. I can't speak for you, but for me, I live in rural Saskatchewan. There are 7 busses that run to our school, all from a town that's NOT where the school is. This means we travel highways and grids. It is the same with us, busses are cancelled but town kids still go to school. However, in our case, I feel that makes sense, considering the conditions we may have to travel to get to school.
