I have several friends who are in business and they really enjoy it and are quite involved. We have a co-op program which is fairly competitive from what I understand. You're offered a lot of opportunities to work on business projects and get involved. I just read about this PRIME thing where they basically just give you money to invest (they were given $70K 6 years ago and now have $1.3 million). They have excellent professors and a lot of options for you to choose from as far as course selection. Have you checked out http://www.business.ualberta.ca/ ? This lists the majors that you can take: http://www.registrar.ualberta.ca/calendar/Undergrad/Business/Programs/64.2.html#64.2 I don't know what else to say because I'm not in it, but I've heard good things. I love the U of A campus, the neighborhood is gorgeous, our residences have a great student life (primarily Lister) and there are a variety of excellent housing options. We're close to Whyte Ave and you can take the LRT downtown - these are the two areas where almost all the good bars are. If you have any questions just ask.

U of A is not really considered one of Canada's top business schools. I'm from Alberta and I didn't even apply. Plus I dont care what anyone says Edmonton is BORING!

Agreed, ditto, and so true. I didn't even apply to U of A as a backup; I applied to U of C and SFU instead. UWO 2012

Definitly,U of A is great. I just have no idea about its business program. Do they have something like a placement report?
It cannot be compared to IVEY.While, I just wonder whether IVEY is really worth 50K(and obviously much higher for international students)

I think for your undergrad 50K is not worth it. Just research stuff online. That's what I did when I was deciding about schools.
Edmonton and Calgary are pretty much exactly the same. Have you ever lived in Edmonton? Obviously Calgary is going to be more fun for you because you have friends there just like Edmonton is more fun for me because I have friends here.

Actually I live(d) in neither and have friends in both Usually spend one to two weeks a year in both cities, and they really aren't exactly the same lol

They are waaaaay different, especially in terms of weather... The snow up in Edmonton just never ever melts and you end up getting piles of dirty snow and it's disgusting. Calgary is the land of perpetual sun (or as much of it as you can get in Southern Alberta) and needless to say there isn't as much winter grunge.
