Extra-Curricular is anything outside of school academics that you want to tell them about. This can include sports or artistic endeavors or any other club or community involvement you have. That can include volunteer activity. Just list the activity and what your role was.

hey is it just me or can you not type in anything on the application form??
cause i try to type something in and as soon as i click elsewhere and the words disappear
i tried to save the form but it still doesnt work
it says that "you cannot save data typed into this form?"
does this mean i have to write it out?

I just mailed my application today- so glad it's finally out of my hands. I'm not feeling especially confident about it, but if it helps me get early admission it will be worth the effort! For those who have already sent theirs, did you get an e-mail confirming that Queen's had recieved your Chancellor's application? Also, I know that Queen's is updating their online system- are we supposed to get an e-mail from Queen's after we submit our OUAC application?

ok so the bursary application is out and it says you will get a queens student number emailed to you or something, how exactly am i supposed to get this email?

yeah exactly? it seems as if it's only for people that are registered at queens
hmm

I'm confused about this too : ( anybody know what to do??

I am not sure if you guys have already applied to Queen's through OUAC, because apparently after you submit your application (and pay for it) Queen's will send you the log ins necessary to access the MyQueens-or-something-like-that page where you will then see the admission bursaries form.

I haven't applied, but I am pretty sure that it will take 2 days after you submit your application that Queen's will send you the log in info (post grad, so I remember what my friends experienced last year).

What does it mean by OUAC reference number? Is that the same thing as the OUAC pin number? :S

No, after you submit your OUAC application, that means paying for it and everything, they email you an OUAC reference number.

On another note, my application got sent today, now I wait!

Is everyone's word limit within the required range? Both of my leadership and involvement one are over by 50 words. I can't cut it down anymore!!!>< i hope they don't count, cuz that would be really sad.

Blahhh.. I screwed up. I kind of put my MIDENT as my OUAC reference number, which is the same as my school number as well.
Wow...think they'll penalize me for that? Lol.

Finished the whole thing last night, handed it in this morning...Now we wait, I guess.
My word counts were 360 and 390, but that was after LOTS of editing to cut down word count. Reading it out loud helped me find unnecessary words, I guess.
I don't even HAVE an OUAC number yet, so I left that blank...I hope that's what I was supposed to do. I'll get it next week sometime.

I put my OUAC user ID. Darn. Hopefully they realize it's not in the OUAC ref # format.

Does it have to get there by december 1 or can we send it by december 1?!? fudge my school hasn't even picked the nominees yet!

And how do we get access to the admission bursary application? I guess we have to apply to Queens by OUAC right now to get one?

I've been nominated for the Chancellor's Scholarship at my school, and I can't seem to find the information anywhere about when Queen's will decide/announce the winners. I'm expecting it to be quite a bit later into the year (May?), but it would just be nice to know an approximate timeline. If anyone can help, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks! smile

Applied to:
Queen's Con-Ed
Queen's General Arts
University of Ottawa Baccalauréat ès arts spécialisé avec majeure en lettres françaises et B.Éd.
