Hey, so I got into my first choice at Ottawa U for Engineering. I am just a bit worried about the conditonal offer as it says: Quote:You must obtain the OSSD, successfully complete six 4U/4M courses including all prerequisites for your program and maintain a final average of 70%. You must also maintain a combined average of 70% in your math/science courses. 1) Is that to say I have to graduate on time (e.g. Say I need one more course in the summer (<< A friend of mine is in this situation) 2) I am sure I will hit a 70 average in all my courses, but when it says 70 in math/science is that only for my math/science prereqs or all science math courses; since I may have below 70 in chem, physics, and calc together, but well above 70 if you include adv func and data. ???

If somehow you could complete summer school before mid-July and have your grade in you could escape being declined, otherwise if you don't gradutate you're going to have to stay back another year. 2)That means ALL of your courses related to math/science (in this case everything that's calculated in your top 6), Work hard and bring up those marks or you may recieve a very nice 1 page letter early August. (Show your conditions letter to your teacher and they might be sympathetic and help you end up with a 70 final) UTSG Life Science 12'

You'd have to ask their student awards office. In fact ask the uni about your specific admissions question while at it, they'd be the best people.

About the entrance scholarships: Although you do have to have a certain average during your grade 12 year, you have to maintain an average of at least 8.5 during your first year of university in order to keep the scholarship. You don't get the money til the end of the year, and I've heard that it's close to impossible to maintain that average during First Year.
