CRAZYBUBBA wrote:i'm taking a university course for fun (writing essentials). and then leaving for an archeology dig in jordan this month. that. is. wicked. oh my goodness my dream job would be as an archeologist. I love field work and yes spending hours out in the desert sun every day in the heat trying to carefully unearth a piece of a wall from an excavation sight sounds like so much fun for me. How do you get involved in digs? can you just apply or do you have to be under a certain department or something? and where in jordan are you going? is it around petra (one of my dreams is to see some famous monuments and structures around the world and petra is right at the top)? this sounds so amazing.

How long are you going to stay? UWO 2012

I'm working full time, and then I have rugby practice or games at least 5 days a week. Busy. I went to Cuba at the beginning of the summer and I think I'll finish work a week or two before school starts to have a break.

I'm going to work (hopefully find a different job in the next couple weeks), maybe volunteer at a daycare, play video games, and be nervous and so very excited for university! That is SO awesome! I'd love to do that just to see how it is. My cousin is going to Laurier next year for archaeology. She was offered a chance to go on a dig last summer but her mom wouldn't let her. Honours English Major/History Minor, York '12Stong Rez

Working part time...and yeah. I've got a trip in September (my 2nd year doesn't start until October). My friend from France is coming to visit me for 2 weeks so we're gonna go spend some time in NYC. Other than that, just some random day trips. Like next week is shopping in the States, and Wonderland I think it'll be a pretty chill summer. Might as well take advantage while it lasts. After graduation and "real world" jobs, no way you can just take 2 months off like that without quitting the job... Saint Lawrence CollegeTecnologia Turistica Total

Going to Japan and Hong Kong (with mum and sister) to visit my dad working there. Its going to be an experience since I'm Chinese and I've never been to Asia. My friends have been teasing me since they found out.
