What are your plans for the summer? I still haven't made any and am kind of worried that I won't have a good time. Post tips and suggestions (what you want to do) vs. what you will do.

i will be: working full time (35-40 hr weeks) usual sat night partying have huge house party for my 18th birthday in july random chillings with gf/friends around the city, might go up to wasaga for a long weekend.
i want to go to europe for 2 weeks, but i'm not sure that will work out.
it kinda sucks that all my best friends are going away. one's going to korea for a month, one's is going to dominican for 2 weeks, other is going to california for a week or so. it's going to make it hard for all of us to hang out together.

I've applied to several jobs now (I've been off school for almost a month now), and I haven't heard anything back from any of them... of course, I haven't been trying really hard to get one. I am going to apply in person to a job on a tour boat. If that fails, I'll be stuck with the same crappy job (scooping ice cream) that I had the last two summers... at least it doesn't start until elementary and high schools finish. Either way, I'll be living at my parents' cottage for the summer. No internet, 2 channels of TV (CTV and Global), none of the typical chain or franchaise stores, but it is still lots of fun. And on rainy days, I'll be studying for the GRE.

Summer school, volunteer at school for 2 weeks ($450 per week), then prepare for grade 12 since I already got the textbooks for bio and chem. It'll be a lot better than last summer when I worked like a slave

Work, work, work, work and I'm going to try to get out to action week. I died last summer with all of the work I did (60/70 hours a week.) and I'm going to try to get another job with a ridiculous amount of hours, again. Haha.

This stupid teacher accidentally put the textbooks (in pdf format) in the student pick-up folder lol. It has practice questions, quizzes, and animations. Pretty neat I'd say

I will be working full time as a Camp Counselor at the Canada Science and Technology Museum It's an awesome job with amazing pay, meaning I could get the large majority of my tuition paid off right away. I might be a leader in training at a girl guide camp, if I get in. If not, I'll probably take a summer school course, and then go to a music camp. If I don't get into the girl guide camp thing or summer school, will be forced by parents to get a summer job.
Then a 5-day canoe trip for my Duke of Edinburgh award.
And practicing driving so I can get my G2.
And practicing music, because next week I have a piano recital and a flute exam o_O

Well, it's last summer before university. I just want to have a relaxing one before uni starts (well relaxing up until the last 2 weeks before school), so no working/major commitments for me. Anyhow, plans are: -relearn swimming from scratch and overcome my fears (gave up in Gr. 8 after an incident) --> beaches *main*-Have a vacation to either Vancouver or San Jose for a week or two with family and a couple of close friends -Get my G license when I come back -Buy myself a tablet notebook and get myself accustomed to it -Go on a spending spree to fully furnish my apartment to make it seem as if I was at home (courtesy of my parents) -move my entire "office" to my apartment -renew my CPR/first aid skills -Spend a couple of weeks doing a quick general review of what was done in Gr.12 and a quick view of the work that's going to be given
