I'm going to u of t engineering in September and I am wondering if I should attend frosh week.

The impression that I have is that its just a bunch of people going to go get wasted and be all hyped up and crazy. Personally, I don't find such things as being "fun".

In addition I am not living on res and I have a full time job right now that I can keep on doing during that week.

I would like to hear some experiences of what its like and what to expect. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

EKG

If you want to meet people, then go... You don't have to drink if you attend frosh week. Besides, I imagine most drinking will be done in rez, so you don't have to worry about being the lone non-drinker there or anything.

You should definitely attend it. There is not much, if at all any drinking, in the events in the morning. They are pretty fun and it is a great way to get your spirits up before uni really starts.

As for what happens, then there are really loads of events like paintball, walking downtown with like a thousand people and some sports events. Its better than it sounds lol.

These are good things they are excited about School (in a small way) you don't have to be drunk to have fun at frosh week, you could potentially meet some good friends. You have the rest of your life to work Frosh week only comes once in a lifetime (as corny as that may sound)

Getting wasted and crazy will only happen maybe 3-4 nights during frosh week. During the day is fun times where you do SOBER stuff and meet other people. Definitely don't miss...

If I hadn't gone to frosh week, I wouldn't have the friends I do now.

Even if you don't end up really liking it, you can at least say that you participated and not have any regrets.
