...finally found some place to let some stress out
my problem is deciding between two schools and programs
AFM @ Waterloo Honours Economics @ Laurier
Ever since I could remember I wanted to go to Laurier for BBA. Unfortunetly, I got an alternate offer for Honours Economics. Accounting and Financial Management is a wicked program but I'm not getting a confident vibe for some reason.
How I'm feeling right now... my brain tells me Waterloo, my gut feeling is saying Laurier.
Any suggestions or reassuring comments?

well if you're not set on becoming an accountant, don't go to AFM.
If you have a strong desire to become an accountant, then choose UW afm.

how did you get into AFM but not Lauriers BBA
ALso if you have the writing capabilties to do well in the AFMAA you should probably be able to get the marks to transfer back into the BBA program, but there is no guarentees. You should also go where you want, if you want to be an accountant in the end, Lauriers Economics with a concentration in accounting will provide you with most of the required courses

i always go with my gut feeling; i got offered a couple of unis that seem to be the most logical and safe choice for my future, but i'm still going to uwo which is no so logical XD if you go somewhere that you have a good feeling about its less likely that you'll regret it in the future.

I definitely agree with the poster above. You have to go with your gut feeling because that's always what can help you decipher between what's right and wrong from your view point. If you have your heart set on Laurier then go there because if you don't you will strongly regret it. Thankfully though, they are VERY close to each other in distance and many people take courses from both schools and know people from both schools. It's not like one is in another country and one is here in canada I also applied to Laurier and Waterloo for psych along with many other schools but I knew from the very beginning that UW was right for me because I felt like I belonged there and had my heart set on that university for a very long time. I looked at everything including residence options, meal plans, clubs and courses but felt that this was the right decision and i'm not nervous but rather excited and I wasn't hesitant about my decision at all when making it. What I'm trying to say is that if you know that Laurier is better for you and the thought about going there excites you then you should attend that school.

That's right, I know a lot of people who are taking joint programs between the two schools, so if you go to one university you can always venture and explore in the other as well. I believe they also offer double degrees or things of that sort, so you can get say... engineering at uw and business at laurier. one of my friends is doing that she's very happy with it =) UWO 2012

Thanks everyone. Missing the actual Waterloo School isn't really a factor, what I think i'll miss is the great oppurtunity of being in the AFM program. I want to go to Laurier, but then I'm giving up a wicked program at 'loo. Also, at 'loo I have co-op pretty much guaranteed (i know not everything is guaranteed) but if I go to Laurier I'd have to really compete for co-op. ha, I love how much this is bugging me. Only 5 more days 'till the 28th so it'll be all over soon
