Do you like highschool or university more? Why? I like univeristy much more than highschool. Reasons: >> Flexible hours >> Work at your pace, can choose number of courses to take (for most faculties) >> Wide variety of courses >> Many Clubs >> Get to rate ur professors >> Lots of help available for students, not just academically, but also for health, exercise, career. >> Get to meet lots of different people >> Exchange, coop oportunities

I agree! High school is very confining. You have to complete all of these courses that really do not pertain to what you enjoy (especially if you already knwo what you want to do). Post secondary is where you can truly express who you are!

Univerisity SOOOO much better. Highschool doesn't even compare. University is a much bigger community and so you are not trapped with the same people all the time. You take classes you are interested in, and you don't live at home!!! (or at least I don't).

I like High School better because you get the attention you need to obtain knowledge from that specific topic. I am nervous to go to University because in High School they baby you so much. I think High School is really fun, but it can not compare to University at all. I think High School should prepare us better for University.

I don't know about University but I can compare High school and College, In high school you do get babied but in college you actually have to go and ask for help when you need it and talk to your proffesors about what you need help with or if you have a problem with another student or with your assignment. So I think that college is better then High school. it's also bigger and you can write in your text books because you bought them, and you can sell them beck to the college if you want to. I can't wait till I go back!!!

University is challenging academically but high school is great!!! I am in grade 12 so I wouldn't know personally because I am not in University yet but I am applying next year. In university it is harder to juggle time and work. Especially when your having a part-time job. University classes are longer and the work load is a lot harder!!! High school, the work is not as hard of course but at least the exams isn't worth as much. In high school the max. is 30% while in University its about 10 to 15 percent more. In high school you get help one-on-one with the teacher but in University, you have one professor and hundreds of students. Your practically in a line-up for a question with 50 students behind asking the same thing. I love high school but at the same time I am excited to go to University!!!

When you get to university you'll find this rarely happens especially in first year when most students are scared pantless to talk to the prof. Also if you need help you talk to your T.A who heads a tutorial of 15-25 people where you go over the material and can get individual attention. High School is NOTHING compared to University. University is just amazing. The work is so much harder but its worth it. 1 We are from Mac! 2 A little bit louder! 3 I still can't hear you! 4 more more more... I think I would like high school more because there was less people and it was not too overwhelming like university. But then again it depends which high school you went to and If you liked your high school or not

University! Because you study in a field you love, and not a lot of useless topics...
And there is a lot more of people to meet and a way more activities. The schedules are better and you are free to study as you want.

I'm in third year now in university, and in first year i missed highschool and thought it was much better. That was because i was too used to the highschool system of everything being structurized for you. Now that I am in third year and i think back and wonder how it would be to go back I know it would be way too hard to adjust. I like the fact that i manage my own time, pick my own classes and times.

University or College is better then highschool in every way except for the fact that highschool is on a schedule so it's more helpful to people like me who need to stay on track.
But university or college is going to be SO much more fun!

In addition to the arguments already stated about University being better than High School, I believe that University will be a much more thrilling experience to live through. I say this because in High School, you meet the same few people and do practically the same few things in your classes day after day, whereas in University, you meet tons of people and the things you do in your classes are things that you are interested in doing.

I don't think I can compare high school or university, just because I think they have their pro's and con's, but both of them are great places for opportunity, friends, memories and experience.
I know that it's great meeting lots of new people in University, but in high school when you often have the same classes everyday, with the same people, you develop a relationship with all of them, and only you and them remember all those inside jokes that were told in class, or that funny/embarassing thing that happened, etc. I just like walking down the hallway and being able to know everyone I see. I think high school is a tighter community of people. And I think later on in life when I look back at high school and university, I will probably appreciate high school so much more than university.
Success is not the key to happiness, happiness is the key to success. If you love what you do in life, you will be a success!!

I think high school is amazing because you see all your friends all the time and have fun. It's a small community where you can socialize with everyone and who you are close with. You always know what is going on and it is very easy to get involved whereas in university, you never know what is going on, you are pretty much all by yourself. It is so easy to miss events that are going on and that you would have liked. Yes, there are more events that you can go to in university but, you are so much more unaware of them than in high school. It is harder to relate to people (other than the fact that you all have work to do and are busy) and it is obviously so much harder to play competitive sports -- since intramurals are a complete joke and and are not good if you still want a competitive workout. I like being in a small community where I see all of my friends all the time. I like the classes in university but the community in high school for sure!!

You think people in university don't procrastinate? Thats what I am doing right now! You just have to know when to buckle down and get it DONE! Studying three days before a test in high school isn't bad, but keep in mind you drop a whole grade point when you enter university from high school. Factor that into your study time! Don't be scared because really its not that bad. Sure it is a heck of a lot of work but just think positive and don't let it bog you down!! University has a lot more reading than high school, but (depending on your program) it doesn't have as many projects/assignments. I do suggest working on your procrastination though. Frist suggestion: 1) Create a study area in your house AWAY from a computer and t.v. (don't give me this b.s about doing your homework on the computer, pen and paper have worked fine for years and continue to do so!). 2) Plan out a schedule of everything that needs to be accomplished per week. Organization really is key in helping to attack procrastination and anxiety! 3) STICK to the schedule! But don't forget to leave a REASONABLE amount of time for relaxing (ex. checking mail, talking to friends, playing video games, watching tv ect..) It really is not that difficult to suceed in university as long as you are motivated! Good luck and I am sure you will do fine!!

ya university is 500000x better in my opinion...it gives you the opportunity to meet tons of different people and associate with different groups, while in high school you kinda hang out with whoevers there (well at least i did, i had a small school)...since there's way more people in university, its wayy more interesting. Also, its the age of college parties and pub crawls, which you can't really do in high school if your underage. and, if your away for school, you have the opportunity to find your independence, cook for yourself, do your own laundry. You don't have mom all up in your ear to clean your room or whatever...you can do whatever the hell you want university life is wikid.
