Eurgh did the application all the way up until the parental income stage.

We seriously have to tell them about every change in our assets for the entire year? As in every withdrawal or deposit?

And how would I go about getting the ~$500 laptop credit? And what exactly would that 500 be, a loan increase of 500 or an income exemption of 500?

I also withdrew a couple hundred for a trip (I figured I had to withdraw it sometime this week, might as well aim for before the 16 week period) from my account the day before the 16 weeks before Sep 2, that should be alright, right?

This page has a handy little picture to help you sort this out

FAQ's:
1. Will I get in? See: electronicinfo.ca for Ontario schools. If you have a couple percent above the marks there and it's not looking at supplementary, the answer is almost certainly yes.
2. Anything else: Google it before asking.

if your parents pay for your residence, meals, necessities, etc, you're a dependent child/student.... i think osap only asks if YOU have children though?

Dependent Children
For OSAP purposes, a dependent child is a child who is living with the applicant (and spouse, if any) during the applicant's study period and who meets one or more of the following criteria:

is under 16 years of age;
is 16 years of age or over and
is enrolled in high school and taking at least 60% of a full course load;
is a full-time postsecondary student and has been out of high school less than four years; or
has a permanent disability and is wholly dependent on the applicant (and spouse, if any).

well, it says, "How many dependent children, including the applicant, do parents have who are completing this section?"
so i guess i count as 1 then...

Are you taking your program of study through correspondence or distance education?

Does this mean if were living away from home?

Yeah that was a stupid question, I saw distance education and started assuming things, just didn't want to mess up my application.

ahhh i can't find my SIN card!! I've cleaned my room and everything and it's nowhere to be found. Does anyone recall any of the scholarship applications requiring your SIN (i've saved copies of most of them so i'd just use the numbers themselves while i order a new card or something)?

^ Yes, but if you haven't made a decision yet, you can do a separate application for each of your offers.
