What do u get when u live on rez? I'm not talking about experience, friends, or anything like that. I'm talking about appliances, kitchen ware, computer desks, beds, sheets, etc. I would prefer to receive information about Rez at Toronto, but any help would be great.

this varies greatly on uni and wat type of rez you are in. some (traditional style) are just desk, bed, chair, closest, shelves. suites usually have a small kitchen. check U of T's web site for details.

rez will also often give you a hangover (among other things).

There should be a list somewhere in your residence info or their website as to what exactly is included. It does vary a fair bit by school and possibly by building (particularly the difference between apartment style and traditional)

Generally, you should expect a room that is furnished with a bed (with mattress), desk, dresser. I believe most places also include a chair to go with the desk, but I seem to recall my brother needed to bring one (but I'm not sure).

Some places include phones, mini fridges, and undoubtedly other things.

You should not expect bedding.

For traditional style there is usually a small kitchenette for the floor/section. There you should have access to a microwave, probably a stove, probably a fridge, possibly some small appliances like a toaster oven or something. Dishes are rarely if ever provided; same with pots.

For apartment style, dishes and pots could be included but check. All of your major appliances should be covered, but the supply of small appliances is likely slim (I'm guessing microwave would most often be included but toaster not, for example).

I would generally advise waiting to buy stuff like small appliances until after you get there and know what you need. If you move into apartment style, there's no sense having all 4 of you bring a toaster. And most traditional style residences have rules for fire reasons as to where you can use small appliances like kettles and toasters; they may be prohibited entirely.

I'm going to guess that the University of Toronto's website on Residence would help you... erm
