i just came across this thread through a search. but, MIT is freakin' sweet! i just finished up my first year there, and found out i just got into MTP - Television. MTP is competitive as hell, so work hard first year MTP-designated kids to guarantee you get into Fanshawe. everyone usually thinks MIT in general is easy to get through, but it is a lot of work and requires a lot of thought and innovation on your part. i know that a very large chuck of the MIT frosh ended up being kicked out of the program or dropped because they couldn't maintain the average in the MIT courses. oh, you MUST MUST take Media in Society with BLACKMORE - he is the MIT god among men; it will be the most amazing class and professor you will ever have. the MIT faculty and the MIT student council is amazing, full of uniqueness and randomness all over... they have very flashmob-like qualities. i mean, what other faculty puts Mr. T on their frosh shirts and has pac-man as their mascot, and does a slip and slide down the university hill carrying the most random signs (ie. we shower naked) in the middle of a parade. MIT just wants you to be as hardcore as you can be.

What grades did you guys get in order to get into the second year of the MTP?
