ENGINEERING. Seeing as we're all comparing schools, i figured, why not between the faculties?
My vote goes to engineering, 'cause we have the best pranks, the best frosh weeks, we work hard and party like there's no tomorrow, amen to that.

...not to mention, we invented fire, the wheel, and the flaming wheel....

Everyone knows science, engineering, and business are the only useful faculties.

Way to harsh out on liberal Arts students guys. Fun fact; philosophy students have the highest employability rate out of all PhD. program graduates in Canada- not engineers. Not that engineering isn't cool, I just hate the snobbery that tends to come out of engineering kids.

I'd say the worst department is FINE Arts. Being able to act is great and everything, and painting is cool to do for a while, but you kind of limit yourself with a degree in...technical theatre.

Engineers don't need doctorates to get a job in the first place.

My point was that it's incorrect to say that Art students can't get jobs, and that their degrees are useless. Engineers are fine people, and I love them for building bridges and whatnot, but their degree isn't the only valid one.

At least most of the arts people actually enjoy what they do, which is more than I can say for people who pursue certain careers just for the money. :/

Faculty of Science is obviously THE best.

Engineering gets its ideas from Science. Business is the 'Science' of Money. Social sciences has the word 'Science' on it.

Clearly, Science is the King Faculty.

Acceptances to:
McMaster University Biochemistry & Biomedical Sciences
University of Waterloo Life Science Coop
University of Toronto Life Science
York University Biology

how about interdisciplinary faculties? like bki or artsci. you get a basis in all fields---math, science, social sciences, and combine aspects of two or more of these.

not fair...there are plenty of people who go into engineering because they actually do take an interest in the sciences more than the arts....artsy people and people in general seem to assume that artsy people are somehow more fulfilled/happy than sciency people. which is total bollocks

(im not british...just felt like using it for some reason)

yea but i've never understood what kind of a job you would get after getting an undergrad in that typa thing. i'd imagine whoever had a BKI would have awesome time figuring out how to explain to your potential employer what your degree is about and what it entails u to do

they're designed for people who want to pursue graduate studies, particularly in research. i.e. people like me.

education up until recently was largely like this---the great inventors were more often than not also great mathematicians, scientists, and artists. you need a variety of skills that have been developed well to succeed.
