I'd rather watch a movie at home. Lying on my cozy bed, crunched up in my blankie ... eating chips!

(Actually, that's what I plan to do after logging out from here, hehe.)

Friday is a time where I think of it as ME time! You did all this work throughout the week so do something for tyourself. Enrol in a lesson! I use to dance and now I workout. Do something that would help your own development!

Do things that make you happy...before I moved away from home, my mom and I would buy a pie and rent a movie and watch them together on Friday nights. Or Read a book, or go out with friends...that can be going to a movie, going bowling, go to a public skate at a local arena, cruise in your car (but preferrably not for too long as it's a waste of gas etc.), when the weather isn't too bad (you may have to wait until May to do this lol) go rollerblading or biking, if you have a dog, walk them, especially if you have friends that have one (dog walks I found are good bonding moments and you can get a lot off your chest), go swimming at the local pool, go to Starbucks or Tim Horton's and have coffee with your friends...the list is endless...take an art class, work out, get a part time job if you are REALLY bored.

Renting or going to the movies has gotten WAY too expensive. I like anything thats social. Being with friends or going to parties (when there happens to be one) is great, human interaction is always preferable over sitting in front of the tube for a couple of hours.

Invite your friends over and have fun.. Or who cares if your alone on a friday. Friday is just another day of the week. Your life doesn't revolve around a day of the week! smile Theres so many things you could do.. Watch a movie on tv, or rent one with your friends. Go swimming at your local pool with friends, go to a movie theatre, save up money and go on a shopping spree, do what makes you happy and live your life!
Hope that helps!

There are tons of things that you can do that will not let anyone feel like the butt of a bad joke at the end of the night. Every weekend me and some friends do different activities such as movies, board games, kariokee, card games, bowling, biking ,hiking ,camping, movies, DDR, Guitar Hero and such. Some of these do cost money but hey what is wrong with just staying at home and just chilling with some friends?

Hang out with friends.
Me and my friends always play pool, basketball, street/floor hockey, card games (rummy, poker, 21, cheat, bridge, euchre, screw your neighbour, etc.) and COD4. Sometimes we go bowling, play squash, watch movies and crash parties.

Hmm...since you want alone time, why not read a good book? lurk forums, Facebook, etc.? watch chick-flicks? sleep? do your homework? call your friends and talk for numerous of hours (I don't know how girls have so much to say over the phone...)?

When I'm doing nothing on a friday I usually go around on forums or read up on some stuff.

Otherwise I'm outside with friends or family.

Extra-curriculars are a great way to meet people. You shouldn't focus on them too much, but join anything that looks interesting to you. Clubs, sports, charities... I'm sure there's something for everyone. Then you can meet people there, and even if you don't want to spend money on Friday nights you can just hang out with them.
