myst wrote:Hey Stringer, do you know if it is possible to transfer into the BBA program from the honours in economics program in the second year? afaik, both have the same courses for the first year so... Yes, you can. However, it is very competitive and you will need to be have very good marks to make the switch.

Of course, Economics is a great choice. At Laurier you can go into Ecomonics and ACCOUNTING to work towards ur CA designation. Its sorta just like the BBA, just you have a Ecomic back ground. If you like math, i would probably choose Economics over Business.

annival, you can graduate from Laurier with a Bsc. r009, it is up to you, Ecomonics, even though it is considered an arts program is a great degree. you can do alot with it, and sometimes it considered better than a BBA degree. but thats just my word. if you really want to go to Laurier i would go.

brock is still good if you want to become a CA or even a CMA and it is one of the fastest routes to becomeing a CA or CMA. Brock is on the top 5 programs for accounting in ontario so i wouldnt worry. just go where you want, you can get courses for a CA desngation anywhere.

I understand your frustrated but who are you mad at? If you really don't wana go to brock you could always do an extra semester and bring up your marks and apply next year, alot of people do that. But there is no point is trying to find little things to justify you going to brock. If you really don't wana go there then you shouldn't. I also suggest you visit the campus and talk to people there to see if you can actually see yourself going there.

It doesnt really matter were you go, its what you do with what you learn.
