the alternate offer i got from laurier - is that Acreidted, and will it help me be a CA? if yes i"ll go to Laurier- also does it have co op? Yes, Honours Economics is accredited providing you take the accounting stream. It will help you become a CA the same way getting a BBA would. Honours Economics is co-op as well, but like BBA co-op, it is not guaranteed.

I would go to the school and program that you're most excited about. If that's Laurier, then go there. Work hard your first year and you should be able to transfer into Economics or BBA if you want.

Hey guys, I was wondering if someone could help me out in deciding what math courses I should be taking in year one. I was checking the requirements for my program (BBA) and it says that I have to take MA129 or MA103 or MA110*. I've read a little about each of them but I'm still having a hard time deciding. I did OK in calc in high school (80ish) but I really didn't enjoy it at all. So could someone suggest which one I should take? also to present BBA students, please share your experiences in these courses. and also any electives that you enjoyed and would recommend someone else taking. I would really appreciate the help! I almost forgot, is it possible to pick professors?

I would really appreciate the help! It looks like they changed the math requirement since I was in first year. MA130 was the course we had to take. I would go for MA129 since it seems to be the easiest. Calc sucked, I'm glad I'm finally finished with math.

I don't think you should pick your courses by how easy they are because you could do well in a more challenging courses if you enjoy it.

You pick your professor in all your courses basically. A few are only taught by one professor, but the professor's name should be listed in the course information when you signup. Sociology was interesting at times, as was philosophy. It really depends what you like because a class I loved you might hate. Film Studies is something that I've taken a few courses in that I've enjoyed, although it's all been 3rd year classes.

Also P.M or anyone what are the required courses Enjoyable is subjective so I can't really help you out there. Easy classes include CP102 (really basic word processing, spreadsheets, computer stuff) and first year geography classes. Social sciences aren't that bad either.

They can be difficult for some people but others find it quite easy. It's a lot of common sense and being able to explain WHY things happen.

hey, I'm in the same situation as some of you... got an offer for Honours Economics, but I applied for BBA with a 85.5% avg. and ABS form. I got accepted to Waterloo's AFM program, which is amazing but BBA @ Laurier is my first choice and what I always wanted. I have no clue what to do

FM...I chose it because it looked like it covered a variety of things on the job, and I'm not 100% sure I want to be a CA but that is what I'm pursuing atm.
