no you cannot. That'd mean any arts students would have chance to become a CA. You need to go into Accounting streamed programs, or Business programs. Ryerson maangement, Mac Commerce, UTM commerce, brock accounting are all good options.
So don't go into BA- Math if you want to do a CA

People make brock seem like a really poor school, but Brock Accounting? Nope. If it's not Brock accounting co-op you've been accepted to, then yes brock is really as bad as everyone's making it seem like.

Also, it's relatively hard to get into, like 85%+? So you'd still meet a lot of intelligent CA prospects.

So don't go into BA- Math if you want to do a CA Arts students can become a CA. All you need to do is take enough accounting classes.

btw brook's acc program is considered an Acredited program meaning you don't have to worry about choosing 51 credits courses, it has all the required courses to be a CA. u don't need to pick and choose ur courses to go in accounting stream. good luck with the future P.S- my advice, go to brooks, reaosn being it has co op and its an Acredited program, and no Brook is not half as bad as ppl are making it sound bad. just take my word for it and go for Brook's dude. If u don't like it u can always transfer i am almost certain of going to UTM COMMERCE. good program with intense competition, and making me not bias to Brook uni

http://www.icao.on.ca/Admissions/QualificationProcess/AcademicRequirements/1014page1141.aspxRead a bit about the requirements there. WLU's accounting stream (even in Arts) is accredited meaning that if you complete the accounting stream you can be sure that you have the required credit hours. I don't think you'll have to stay any additional time.

And Accredited indicates that there is a strong long-term partnership between the University and the Institute that includes a commitment to continuous improvement to ensure that graduates are always well prepared for careers as Chartered Accountants. Students completing their CA requirements through an Institute-accredited program/stream do not have to worry about counting courses to complete the ICAO’s 51 credit-hour requirement. I thought WLU accounting stream was only for WLU BBA students. I highly doubt arts students can get all their 51 credit hours by using all their electives on accounting courses. Someone else confirm this plz. Also I believe there are courses that are only restricted for people in certain programs

You can still become a CA through math although there is a chance you would have to take an few additional courses, depending on how many electives you have and how your schedule works out.
