Well I applied to the Management program after the deadline (may 1st), as i'm a transfer student from york and I thought my chances were very slim. I was worried i wouldn't get in because last year(grade 12) I was not accepted to the program and my average was like 77.8%. After a couple weeks, I applied to Retail mangement as a backup incase I don't get in and as of now no decisions from them yet for that program. So "H3ART", you'll probably have to wait as your application is at the bottom of the pile, but the pile will be very slim as very little people apply/accept for the program. So I think you'll have a good chance of making it. As for filledejanvier my average is like just a bit higher than yours and I got acceptance, so you just gotta wait it out.... which really sucks!
Best of luck to you both!

Was your friends average actually 75? Or are you just taking a guess. What was yours Elia? Can anyone tell I'm paranoid as hell? haha.
I should probably go to my guidance counsellor and have them call for me.. Probably going to do that tomorrow sometime if I dont get in by then (Since offers of admission are refreshed at 2 or 3 am)

I have a friend in that and heard that the intern they give is good. But imo IT isn't going anywhere now a days as people in India and China are overtaking the world in that field already. But if you shine above overs, you will be better off. Not saying don't go into it, just saying in my opinion that is how i feel about today's IT in our society. I have considered into doing that program too, but the benefits in managment outweighs the ITM program.
Update: Business Management program is offically closed for accepting new applicants (May 3rd)

Dimsum... just to business management. I should have applied to other programs - I don't plan things out properly sometimes.
and Elia, didn't you say on the first page that your friend got in with a 75 average?

I'm not interested in business management or anything, but dimsum how do you know that the program is officially closed for accepting new applicants? Is stuff like that actually open to the public??

beccaaa, yeah just check the Ryerson site, it tells you what programs are still accepting applications. So as for you filledejanvier, if you can make room out of your 3 choices quickly ASAP apply to the retail management program and do 1st year there and then switch to management program. This is if you don't think you'll get into business management and need that as a back up if you have no other options. But then again i think you'll get in okay with a 75..... but don't take my word for it. If you can i would rather be on the safe side than taking the chances! This is the site that tells you: http://www.ryerson.ca/undergraduate/admission/apply/programstatus.html

I had no intentions of going to Ryerson for anything else. I was also accepted at Windsor for the Business Administration (co-op) program, as well as York for History(this was the backup incase I didn't get in anywhere else). I applied to Carleton too for International Business but their cutoff last year was 81, so I'm just waiting for a rejection letter from them because there's no chance in hell I'm getting in to that program with a 77. Bahhhhh. I'm probably going to be in that chat today -- hopefully they have some answers for me.

So theres 3 options for you. 1) do another semester of high school to increase your average 2) wait for ryerson and see if you'll be accepted(hope you do) 3) Take another program in Ryerson for first year and switch programs after first year.
