It's going to be their big OS for 5 years... they're going to/ALREADY HAVE fixed most problems right? Especially is I'm running it on 4GB of ran and a core 2 duo 2.5?

MS released Service Pack 3 for XP yesterday. It was a week delayed because of last minute snags they hit regarding compatibility. MS hardly ever gets anything right the first time.

And consider what XP would looks like on those specifications. *wipes tear of joy*

Vista isn't that bad.

If you are getting a computer with less than 2gb of RAM XP would perform better though.

Oh yes you can. You get Vista and downgrade to XP. MS will call this a Vista sale on their sheets and show everyone how popular Vista is, but we know the truth! ;)

Can I do this online? Or do I have to call them?

Windows 7 (Microsoft's next OS) is supposed to come out in 2010.

dual boot is better.
i have my comp with xp and vista. however, i find myself using vista 99% of the time.(Cause it looks nice)
so vista isnt so bad after you've some tweaking.

Wouldn't you need two copies for the dual boot? Or can you install multiple copies with a single CD, then downgrade one?
