If you've already been accepted @ UofT and you did meet the requirements for its President's Entrance Scholarship at the time of your admission (1st semester), but your 2nd semester's final marks fail to meet one of the requirements, is your President's Entrance Scholarship rescinded?
In my admissions letter, UofT did state that I qualify for its P.E.S based on my academic record. But I'm wondering... this semester I'm taking Calculus. Let's say that I do manage to get over 80 in Calculus (meeting one of the P.E.S requirements), yet when Calculus is calculated into my top 6 average, my top 6 average will no longer be 92%+ (not meeting one of the P.E.S requirements). Will UofT take away the P.E.S? Or do I already have it in the bag?
Essentially, I'm just confused about UofT's statement in the letter - does it mean that I already have the P.E.S guarantee, or is it just telling me that I will be able to get the P.E.S only if I meet all the requirements by the end of the year? It did say that the minimum "admissions average" for the P.E.S is 92%. Is the "admissions average" the average that UofT calculated during the time of my admission (the one from 1st semester, that was over 92%) or is it just my top 6 average that include final marks from 2nd semester?
Thanks

I got a scholarship from Victoria College for 2000 with my offer from UofT... the President's scholarship is so confusing. It's just a guarntee that you will recieve 2000 if your final average is 92+, however UofT states that they only send out scholarships with your offer of admission. I don't think your PES would be rescinded as long as you maintain 90+ ... best thing is to just e-mail them and ask or phone...

“What if my marks go down? Provided that you meet all the conditions on your offer of admission we will not withdraw the scholarship offer. Please remember, though, that your final high school marks are an important part of your academic record for the future – keep working!”

So, works out perfectly for you, no need to worry about your average dropping =D Personally though, I don't like their method xD It really screws over kids who have their high-mark subjects during 2nd semester. I was lucky enough to have high 1st semester marks and received quite a bit of money from U of T, but I'm sure there are students who received less than they deserved.
