I saw the NHL thread and wondered how many of you out there are basketball fans and more importantly raps' fans. Here are my predictions: I'll only focus on the East. 1vs8 Celtics vs. Hawks 4-0 Get your brooms' ready for the sweeeep.
2vs7 Pistons vs. 76ers 4-2 Philly gets the consolidation 2 wins because Igoudalla is a beast.
3vs6 Magic vs. Raps In my opinion, if we had given last night's shot to Parker or Kapono we would have iced the game and probably come to the ACC and taken a 3-1 lead but since we lost both games in Orlando... 4-2 We get the second game in the ACC and the next at Orlando.
4vs5 Cavs vs. Wizards 4-0 Get your brooms' ready for the sweeeep.
As you can see I'm betting on the favorites. Post your comments and especially any opinions about why Sam Mitchell would let Bosh have both of the last shots when he was guarded by Howard, shooting below 40. My opinion is he's a racist and doesnt like the white players on the team such as Kapono (3point champ and best 3point shooter in the league) and Calderon(just a strait up g' on the court). Even other coaches have commented saying that those two players should be permanent starters, wtf is smitch thinking?

Massive Nba fan
I can't believe our boys are down 0-2 to the magic. I also question the ball in bosh's hands for the final shot. If he was suppose to drive, that's fine but if it was suppose to be a shot, Kapano or Calderon should be taking it....and HOLY FRICK start Calderon already. I'm sick of Tj Ford screwing us over in the first quater with these 15 point deficits. If we don't get both of these games at home, we're finished. Can't believe i bet $20 with my friend on the raps winning the series lolz.
The Sun-Spurs series is by far the most entertaning. I can't believe PHX is down 0-2...they coulda had both games. Game 1 was so hard to digest with Manu winning it right after my boy Stevie Nash dropped that fadaway 3 while falling outta bounds....Phooey it seems these suns will never past the spurs.

I agree with almost everything you said. Calderon should be starting for SURE. I mean take Ford in the last game....in the first like 2 minutes he had 3 turnovers. THat just kills you and that's probalby why they were down 17 again. If they can actually get off to a good start they've got a good shot at winning. And yea for sure that last shot should have been Kapono or Calderon. I mean yea OK bosh is your franchise player and all that but A) He's got Howard guarding him and B) Kapono and Calderon had been on fire in that game and they are just better shooters from that range; if he was going to drive it then fine but to take a 20ft jump shot you'd be better off with Kapono.
I'm hoping they come back thuogh! Have faith!

NBA (Raps and Suns Fan) The Raps are on the brink of elimination (3-1) as of tonight. Funny though, PHI is up 2-1 and the hawks are beating the celts as I write this. (94-79) Also HOU is going to go into UTA and win again...

Hope Detroit beats Philly so they can take out Orlando in the second round. Seriously can't stand that Turkoglu guy.

We usually go to 4 or 5 Pistons games every season so they're definitely my team but I find I'm pissed at them most of the time. They should be taking Philly out with very little trouble. Problem is they come out and play hard one game and the next you sit there wondering if they even care. Tough to watch some days.
I've actually been watching a lot of Raptors ball this season. I don't think they can take Orlando but I'd love it if they did. I didn't see all of yesterday's game but how the hell did Delfino foul out?! Unless he's mixing it up a lot more than he did when he played for the Pistons that one seems impossible to believe.
I'm also pretty shocked by the Suns this season. Steve Nash just doesn't look like he has his heart in it right now which is really weird. Wonder if he's just not loving the whole Shaq thing.

Delfino loves to hack Howard. Most of those fouls were trying to stop howard and a few trying to draw charges. He was also called for a couple reach-in touch fouls on Hedo because he was playing him really aggressively. Probably something he picked up from the Pistons.

Well my Pistons got it done last night but they were fairly awful through the first half.

This is what I want:
Eastern:
Hawks beat Celtics (yeah Celtics are good and whatnot w/ their 60+ wins after just 20 something last season but Hawks just have crazy potential). By the way, as of today, Hawks tie the series! Johnson making practically every shot in the fourth and Smith w/ 7 blocks?!
Cavs beat Wizzies. Obviously, this is a done deal. And DeShawn can go suck something.
Raps beat Magic. Ah, well their down 4-1 in the series so don't bring out the salami and cheese until preseason (or until Colangelo signs another nice player...or fires Sam).
Sixers beat Pistons. Man Sixers...where the hell did you guys come from?! Andre^2 are amazing. And Dalembert (he plays for Canada!).
Western:
Lakers beat Nuggets. Yeah, just finished watching the game about an hour and a half ago. Bring out the brooms. And yeah sorry Nuggets fans for your team being the first 50 wins team to get swept in the first round.
Jazz OR Rockets. Both are great and although up until now I was thinking Rockets (mainly b/c T-mac's never won in the first round and 22 consecutive wins, with like 13 w/o Yao--"Are you kidding me?!"), the Jazz have crazy talent, especially with their Stockton-Malone remix. So whoever wins, I'll be happy.
Suns beat Spurs. Man I really want Kid Canada (and STAT) to win a championship. But frig...down 3-1 in the series and playing at SA later on today...I doubt it's gonna happen. It'd be awesome though, being the first team in the NBA to win the series after being down 0-3 (especially against the Spurs!). It sucks b/c Suns build a lead of like 15 and then go on to lose. So frustrating! They just gotta contain Parker really b/c if he explodes, they're done. Get Parker's french counterpart to guard him again-Diaw was amazing in Game 4. And Big Aristotle and Amare will have to step it up like crazy against the Big Fundamental just all the time. But if the Spurs do win, and if they just happen to make it to the finals again (dammit!), then I want Obi Wan Ginobli to at least win Finals MVP.
Hornets beat Mavs. Up 3-1 in the series. Done. Avery--you're chance of being fired is going sky-high. Cuban--sucker.
In the end though, I want a Lakers vs. Cavs finals. Like holy Naismith, that would be amazing.

The NBA: Where Upsets Happen. 4-0 for the celts? How about 3-3? The Hawks are 07's GSW...
