Is commerce undergraduate school really important?
so for example,
Is grauduating from U of Calgary same as graduating from UBC Sauder ??
in terms of job field? such as probability to get hired, or even salary??
And, also which one is in great demand in job field?(not by popularity by students)
Money doesn't matter for me, I just want to get a job after graduation.
At U of C, they have
General Business
concentration
in Accounting, Human Resources and Organicational dunamics, Iternational Business, Management Information Systems,
Marketing, Operations Management, Risk Management and Insurance, Personal Finance Planning, Petroleum Land Management,
Risk Management/Insurance and Finance, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Energy Management, Enterpreneurship and
Innovation, Finance, or Business Process Managemet ?

There is definitel9y a difference between commerce programs, depending on the field that you wish to go in. It is easier to classify and rank the schools if you know what you're going to do after undergrad (ie. finance, accounting, consulting, marketing, etc) . Between UoC and UBC, i would say UBC has the slight advtange in job recruitment, tho it can also be argued that there's a greater job market in Calgary than in Vancouver. Your ability to find jobs is also largely dependent upon your capabilities.
Btw, UoC Schulich is for engineering; haskayne is for business.

The classic case of I-banking can be used as an example: banks (both in canada and in US) generally only recruit from ivey/queens/mcgill/schulich(york). Btw, UoC Schulich is for engineering; haskayne is for business. Incorrect. The banks in Canada recruit from most of the major business schools in Canada, not just the ones you listed.

True, and thats why I said generally. but when you look at job placements from different universities in this sector, the ones listed outrank any other universities -- and the gap between these and the rest is significant enough to exemplify the differences between universities. Of course, this is just an example; every university business program has its strengths and weaknesses. Proximity to the job market also influences the type of jobs available after undergrad.
