For all of you currently in Grade 11, what do you all plan on taking for grade 12, and where do you hope to go (and what program)?

I live in Alberta, and I plan on taking:

Semester One:
English 30-1
Pure Math 30
French 30
Spare

Semester Two:
Social Studies 30
Chemistry 30
Mathematics 31 (Calculus)
Spare

Already completed:
Biology 30

I want to go into business (finance) and I really want to go to Queen's Commerce.

Don't you need a social studies type course to graduate?

well i've signed up for those courses, and if they aren't in those specific semesters, i can just go change them at my guidance office.

Ahh yes. Ontario. That would explain your lack of needing social 30 to graduate.
hah.

I also live in Alberta xD
For next year I plan to take:

Social Studies 30IB (with the World History Course required for one Semester)
Biology 30IB
Chem 30. Maybe IB
English 30IB? (I haven't decided on this one but if i do take IB then i have World Lit for half a year)
Math 31
Physics 30
Maybe French 31.

By the end of this year I'll have finished Math 30 and French 30 so I'm glad those are out of the way.

I'm not sure where I want to study but I do know that I don't want to go to U of Alberta.

I believe the requirement in Ontario is a grade 11 + level social science course.

The only course that you need at the grade 12 level to graduate high school in Ontario appears to be English.

Now, if you managed to do that, you wouldn't have the entrance requirement for university and the college programs open to you would be somewhat limited.

ya it's really hard to know what exactly you'll need or what will help you once you get into university. i'm planning on going into business particularily international business and i'm planning on doing something with psychology.
my courses are English, grad transitions, math, calculus, economics, accounting, Band(just for fun), Chem and i'm doing german, history and biology online over the summer
i think these courses give a good background and should make first year business alot easier

I plan on taking Sociology 12, Health & Human services 12, English 12, Math 12, Political Science, Global History 12, Food Science 12 and a spare.

Grade 12 classes I'll probably have after this semester ends - Law 12, Bio 12 and Music 12.

I plan on applying for Psychology @ MUN (Arts) with a minor in Law & Society and Psychology (arts) @ UPEI.

make sure you check prerequisites for the university programs you like

i'm in gr 12 in Ontario, and i took 3 sciences, functions, calc, and (mandatory) english this year
a competitive sciences program i applied to at mac requires a non-science or math course as well
luckily i had to take a religion course this year so that covers it (catholic school)

also make sure you have at least one spare, you'll find that your average will be a lot higher if you have more time to spend on each course than struggling to get all the work done for many
